This post office is a DISGRACE!!! The post office is now half the size it used to be. The staff are completely clueless and absolutely rude. I went there today to pick up a parcel I had delivered there, only to be rudely asked by the female staff member behind the counter “How do I know it was delivered here? !!!!!!!!. Also, the big containers that are for packages to be dispatched out are now in the area where the public waits - when before they were behind the staff counter! I pointed out to a male receptionist that this poses a real breach of client confidentiality as anyone off the street can come in and steal a package - only to be rudely told “But we have CCTV” !!!. I told him that having CCTV doesn’t remove the risk of theft as you are putting the temptation to steal in full view of a would-be thief!!! The so called managers of this post office need to WAKE UP & look at what is happening in their store!!!
I had a lot of cash to bank for my business and needed change as well and Mr Hussein was very accommodating and patient the whole process. Great customer service

Awful experience in which the post office representative would not stop berating us for writing IS in the word Islands for a package going to the Faroe Islands and not IR as in Ireland. We got genuinely worried that our package was going to end up in Iceland or Ireland because he continued to say it was going to Iceland which unfortunately has happened before and we kept trying to clarify that we wanted it to go to the Faroe Islands not Iceland. It was an intense 10mins and we got nowhere really because until the very end he kept saying angrily: “YOU WROTE IS NOT IR”. If it weren’t for the fact that destination is quite important in a post office, both my friend and I would have gladly let the issue go and put it down to mispronunciation, however, as there’s already been a past instance where a package did end up in Iceland instead, we couldn’t risk it. We’ll have to wait and see what the outcome will be, but the overall experience and interaction was utterly rude and painful. Will be avoiding in the future.
To say I’m disappointed in Camden post office is an understatement, it used to be a pleasure using the service here I posted a package on March 5 2024 it contained my granddaughter’s 10th birthday present her birthday was March 7th I was served at window 1 I was asked to put my package on the scale, I did I was then asked how did I want to send it I said first class, I was billed £4.19 which I paid by card and received a receipt My granddaughter was so excited as it was addressed to her and she would be receiving her first mail, only sadly it didn’t turn up. I was so ashamed and disappointed I thought I must have done something wrong with the address, I called every day to check … no package until yesterday March 19 a notification turned up to say the package was not paid for and £7 + needed to be paid before it could be delivered How could this be???? I was billed and charged My little girl disappointed myself heartbroken How did this service go so far downhill and without any compensation or redress to issues SHAME ON CAMDEN PO
Seems fine if you want to scan a simple letter or buy one stamp but it you need any service that's remotely difficult, good luck. I asked for a pack of stamps. The lady just stared at me with this lost look. She said go the the next counter. I looked back at the que and said no thanks. Later I looked online and saw that I should have referred to the stamps as a sheet or a booklet. Its seems that they pick and choose when they want to offer good service, sorry basic service.
Staff is ridiculous and very rude. If they don’t want to serve the customer then why even this post office is open. I would rather travel long than coming to this post office and get insulted without any reason.
This used to be an excellent post office and then it changed hands. The staff are miserable and rude. They don't seem to have any training as when asked a simple question they have no idea whats going on. I asked for my receipt for proof of posting and was accused of hiding a receipt from them, even though they were the ones that never gave me one. I don't even get why anyone would hide a receipt for proof of posting it makes no sense. They no longer stock a great deal of application forms and have very few of what they do have. The post office to be honest looks like its been abandoned on the inside no stock on shelves, it looks run down and dirty hardly any staff. They have now opened up an individual evri counter and when I went to that I was told to queue up in the normal queue and wait with the post office service. I was in the queue for 35 mins it's ridiculous and the queues everyday are extremely long. There were parcels that were piled up in the middle of the floor that were for collection and that people had handed over to them for delivery so that's a matter of health and safety. O yes and whilst there today the lady just through my return parcel which was some mugs that I was returning on the floor that was clearly labelled fragile. I would rather walk 45mins to go to a different post office than use my local Camden one again.
