There was a great local postal service nearby called MYIPB that offered great service with no queue, but they've recently closed so I now have to use this awful place. Terrible service, queues forever, no self-service. Is this place a joke? I don’t understand how it still exists and continues to run.
Over priced and non trustworthy staff!! I only wanted to deliver a small letter which was super light and the staff made me pay the special delivery price. I had insisted and said that I did not want the special delivery but only the normal one and second class, but he said that was the cheapest which was clearly a lie. Scammed by the staff which made me super mad. Never going there again!! Always check on the post office price finder first before trusting anyone in the post office unless you really want your parcel to be priority and specially delivered.
When I read the other reviews, it is no surprise what I experienced. Staff doesn't listen to your needs and make you pay for whatever they like. Even though I didn't want next day delivery they made me to pay for that and kept telling me it is the only choice for me which wasn't cause I have used the same service before and I paid 2.30 pounds instead of 7 pounds. If you see a stocky Indian lady, just avoid her as she is really rude. This is a service we pay for and you have to treat people nicely and listen to their needs. If you have the chance just avoid this branch!!!
All those 1 star reviews? They are well earned. Staff are slightly grumpy and don’t seem to care much about the safety and security of your parcels. Got asked to leave all my parcels at the end window and leave. Open to the public. Eh, nope. Had to wait until a member of staff came over to get someone else’s large parcel before I could get mine taken from the open public side to the closed staff side. If you have a chance to take your parcels to another post office, do that. I unfortunately did not.
Please note this review is about the off license/shop attached to the post office. Avoid at all costs. At least one of the staff members the one working Monday 27 April 2020 specifically charged me an extra £2.50 for a dash of milk in my coffee using a self serve coffee machine. This was relayed to me by shouting across the shop in a highly aggressive manner, demanding that I return to the till to pay extra which I did. This is after I had spent £2.50 for the coffee itself AND purchased three face masks for £2.99 each. Clearly these are priced way above their value but I felt I was helping a small business during a pandemic by over paying. My total spend BEFORE I was screamed at for adding a dash of milk! was £11.47. Note that on the machine there is no signage that explains this "rule", nor did the shop worker verbally relay this to me when I originally paid. The level of vitriol, anger, and downright aggressive behavior shocked me. An awful man that shouldn't be allowed to run a business, and someone who is taking advantage of a global pandemic by overcharging customers. AVOID.
One star is actually too many. This is the worst post office I've ever used. I had already paid online for a Parcelforce service to send a package to Norway, and not one member of staff knew how I had to present the customs forms. One of them thought I had to tape the forms to the back, and when I asked for tape he said he didn't have any and I would have to buy it at the stationers at the front of the shop. I finally went to my local post office in Brixton, and the woman behind the counter there actually apologised on behalf of Royal Mail for the terrible service I'd received.
All the customer service reps I’ve encountered have been very rude. The entire place is dingy, outdated and a complete and utter mess. The queues here are almost always very lengthy and it feels ridiculously warm and stuffy inside. On hot summer days when the temperatures can be 30c+ it is literally unbearable there! I personally go out of my way to avoid this Post Office - unless it’s an absolute necessity, stay away!
Nice efficient post office hidden round the back of this store. Was super quiet when I came in which is apparently quiet rare judging from other reviews. The lady serving me was quite efficient although did query whether something I was posting would fit through a letterbox. "It's Lego," I told her, "it's fine for it to be mangled a bit."
On the 26th May we visited the post office just to post a few parcels and got over charged, on one item, we were changed £5.20 for an item that was supposed to be a larger letter and costing only £3.10....we agreed as we needed the item posting and they had us over a barrel. Then the Indian lady decided to add an additional £0.88 to the receipt for no reason. The following day, we returned to the branch to raise this issue with the manager he told us he would investigate this and call us back which he never did. On another occasion, while waiting in the queue on a Saturday they just turned the lights off and told us all to leave as they were now closed, but people were still waiting patiently. Just avoid this branch!!! We have since found another post office who doesn’t over charge us and polite to their customers. Please AVOID this post office it’s not worth it.
Best experience in Kings Cross Postoffice. I received excellent service on renewing my driving license recently, the staff Mrs Keerthana was very helpfull on whole process as well as complete in really short time, She is a clam and polite officer towards his all customer though what I have observed in the post office. This high standard of service made my day. Thank you
