Story

Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa in Thornton Hough, Wirral, is a countryside four star hotel with 63 bedrooms, beautiful wedding, event and conference facilities. Perfect for business and leisure guests with free parking and free WiFi throughout the hotel including all bedrooms.

It is home to the award-winning three AA rosette restaurant The Lawns, which this summer launched an exclusive private dining experience for guests. The hotel’s exquisite Oak Room along with the Lawns Restaurant can be hired for private parties.

Thornton Hall Hotel caters for a wide range of conferences and events, with its contemporary purpose built Torintone Suite holding up to 650 guests, with state-of-art-audio and visual systems. The Cristal suite and Brimstage and Burton Rooms also offer top facilities for smaller events.

The hotel’s spa is widely regarded as one of the finest in the North West of England. Its health club boasts a well equipped fitness suite, 20metre pool, outdoor hot tubs, relaxation room and sauna / steam rooms.

The holistic spa is the perfect place for guests to wind down and relax, while The Lodge offers a wide range of clinical and skin care treatments such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Endermologie and Zoom Teeth Whitening.

Great overnight stay. Had use of the extensive swimming & fitness facilities followed by a massage. Rom was great, very spacious and modern. Dinner in the Lawns restaurant was top notch, with attentive service. Highly recommend Thornton Hall

Hotel is very nice. Rooms are excellent and the spa is brilliant - the ice cave is well worth a visit in itself. Sadly my stay was ruined due to a domestic taking place in the next room which went on for nearly 3 hours and was only resolved by the police being called. Not the fault of the hotel and they were excellent at dealing with my complaint. Highly recommended.

Stay for two nights for a birthday treat. We stayed in room 5 and it was gorgeous not just the fabulous decor it also had wonderful views of the gardens and a spacious boutique bathroom. The hall itself is full a surprises and a history that makes it a very special. The spa is first class my favourites were the two out door jacuzzis, magical under the stars. We dined in the brasserie and the restaurant. We enjoyed the causal atmosphere and tasty food of the brasserie, we had excellent friendly service. The restaurant was on a different level, outstanding food and service, a little more formal but very comfortable. I had a mini melt down when I thought I had lost my engagement ring, I would like to say a special thank you to the spa staff and patrons who were so supportive and helpful when faced with a blundering wreck. If this hotel needed any proof of its success it would not have to look any further than its own staff,  an amazing, professional, kind and happy bunch of people who make you feel so welcome, they work hard to make you stay memorable.  Thanks to Lisa and Chloe for making our short break unforgettable.

It's a beautiful place with great views and gardens, and a great venue for weddings. The staff are great and the food is fantastic. Looking forward to shooting more weddings here.

Beautiful building and interior. I was here for a friend's wedding. The set up was brilliant and the wedding lovely. I would say that the prices are absolutely ridoculous for drinks however. £18 for two double gin and lemonades!!
