Story

Mod’s Vegan Café at the Thirsty Scholar in the heart of Manchester city centre, M1 is owned and run by well-known Manchester veggie chef and vinyl DJ Martin the Mod. Mod moved here after many years at his previous business Mod Pop Veggie Café on Oldham Street in the city’s Northern Quarter. Expect hearty vegan pub grub and a warm welcome.

Loved this music venue.  Very friendly atmosphere. The pub has a quirky design, affordable drinks and interesting events.  We got to watch a local jazz band.  Pretty cool.

Love this little pub. Need to visit again when they have live music!

Great pub to call into for a pint excellent bar staff good range of drinks friendly atmosphere gets busy around the night hours. Through the day there's still plenty of people about just a little quieter.

Not a bad little bar. Great if you're going to the theatre. Decent seating area outside. Prices are pretty good too. All in all definitely worth a visit.

Been coining in here on and off for years.  Never seems to be very busy but not sure why. Has a rich and varied music selection and often a live DJ.

Amazing music, food, beers and vibes...and all VEGAN! What else could you ask for? Martin rocks!

Great under the railway arches bar. Often hosts interesting events.

Cool bar in Manchester. Great place to be if you're there on a Friday or Saturday and like Northern Soul, I shazammed 3 tracks in the 20 minutes I was there.
