They cancel every good thing they had going for them, they've gotten worse and worse and I'm thankful I leave uni this year so at least I could remember what used to be good about this place. Just disappointing now, nothing makes them stand out from all the other mediocre student unions like they used to
I was here for an event over a weekend. It was a nice open space, and the staff were all friendly. The food was not good - doubt I'll be eating anything from there again.
Beautiful place with a bar, conference centre and other rooms. Beautiful place to hang out and just have a good time close to the city centre.
Best shop for art supplies and snacks. Staff were really friendly and happy to help.
I really like the union , great building loads of facilities the shop is really good . 3/5 because it’s a real shame the only cafe there is a Starbucks .

Fantastic experience. SODA tour was so informative, the young lady was very knowledgeable. I can see why students thrive there.
Came here for an event and didn't have a good experience with the food. Ordered some food at the bar and forgot to ask for it to be made gluten-free I'm gluten intolerant. Anyway, I was told to come pick it up from the bar in 15 minutes. I went back 5 minutes later to apologise and ask if my order could be changed to gluten-free. I was told they couldn't change the order to gluten-free because of the way the system works, and I'd have to reorder. Bizarre. I said "Ok... Can I get a refund for my previous order and reorder it?" They had to go get someone else to ask. That person told me I couldn't get a refund "because you should've told us at the start" and that I couldn't reorder either, as the kitchen was now closed. No apology. So I was forced instead to accept a polystyrene box of food I couldn't eat. Not only was this a waste of £5 but I was made quite upset by the staff's attitude towards me. My partner ended up eating it and said the "poutine" tasted like Bisto poured over limp fries, so I guess I didn't miss out on much.
So, we went to an event at the Union. The space was good, toilets cleans etc. We had some food, it took a while but it was busy but was well cooked and tasty. Staff we're really nice and very helpful behind the bar.
