Nice little venue in the heart of Manchester, easy to navigate layout. I hadn't noticed much about the décor but the bathrooms are quite well done, alot of attention has been paid in there and it's a pleasure washing your hands. Another thing I thought was a nice touch was the smoking area. Even though people go out there to set fire to little sticks of cancer a bit of money has been thrown into making smoking that extra little bit more satisfying. I had a brilliant time here but that may have been due to the bands and company I was with. Knocking a star off for having to pay £4.50 for a can of beer.
We visited on Sunday 9th October 2016. The venue is great has some real character to it and is on three floors hence one big problem accessibility. If you have mobility issues this is not the venue for you even to enter the venue involves stairs and if you are in a wheel chair your going to really struggle. There does not seem to be any thought gone into addressing disability issues at this venue which is upsetting as the venue is fab the acoustics are great and the venue is clean and presentable and why should you be excused from enjoying the venue and all it has to offer just because your wheel chair bound. Great venue only for able bodied people.
A strange little place. It used to be a shop but was converted into a small venue a few years ago. It's easy to reach from Oxford Road station head down the steps, turn right and you're there but you could easily walk past as it is so small. Inside it is split across three floors - ground, first, and a basement - and as well as running concerts there are a few fairs and exhibitions on, such as the burlesque & alternative fair. Not a bad little place, just small!
They offer a varied live music from local to further afield staff friendly and as a music venue the toilets where clean. Pity now it has now closed for good. Another venue lost to big money flat's.
Three storey venue with lots of room to wander. Outdoor smoking area looks over the canal. Generally a good shout, of course the night you're attending makes a big difference to the experience!
Small venue but great vibe! Close to a train station which is always a plus for people with no driver licence. They also serve my favourite cider which is nice.
Nice place. Cheap entry. Well priced drinks. 3 floors to choose from for music. Similar to factory but better in my opinion. Great place to go out in Manchester.
A nicely sized venue. Somewhere between the size of Academy 2 & 3. Sound quality on the night could easily have been improved, but overall a good and easily accessible venue.
Amazing gig venue. I have seen many bands over the years here and its always good sound. beers are far too expensive but that's what you get at gigs.
Really cool unusual basement venue. Have a look online what nights are coming up because you can always find an different than your run of the mill night. Really good acts here too
