Wonderful! Nice to see a pub still lovingly attended by it's owners. Great food steak and Ale pie and Sunday roast and nice local cask beers. Well done!
Called in for lunch. Warmly greeted and found a traditional pub with character and friendly staff.I had tge steak and ale pie. Delicious. The veg. too. Superb. The gluten free menu is excellent. Both my wife and the landlords wife are coeliac so we can recommend eating here in safety and comfort. A good range of ale etc at the bar. All round great service and value.
Classic British Pub, family-run, a rarity these days. We chanced upon this pub Saturday lunchtime and ordered Homemade Steak & Ale pie. Absolutely bloody gorgeous, haven't tasted a pie like this in years. Friendly service, great cider and cosy atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Amazing service and wonderful to find a pubrestaurant who understand the coeliacs condition. Our coeliac son could choose from his own menu & we could all relax and enjoy our very tasty lunch. Huge thanks xx
Lovely food, friendly staff, great beer can't ask for more in a pub!
We had such a great time. The food and the service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend.
Whenever we have a special occasion to celebrate, this is where we go. We've never had a bad meal and especially love their fish Fridays. Good menu range. Highly recommended. Lovely beer garden if not to windy. Now they do takeaway, too.
Great beer, great food! A lovely place to come for a quiet meal whilst watching Sky Sports - will definitely be back.
Excellent lovely food and service good value Will certainly go back again
I visited the Waldegrave Arms on a off chance after a walk, a busy Sunday with roasts clearly being the main dish of the day. Despite this the friendliest of staff accommodated our party and made sure we were welcomed into the restaurant. The decoration has a traditional feel about it, the tables are a little tightly squeezed in but the service is prompt and there are plenty of staff on hand if required. There is a acceptable selection of drinks and the food more than exceeded my expectations, portions are of a good size and quality. All our food come across with that homemade feel and that it has been prepared just for you. If I am in the area again I will definitely visit another time.
