Lovely friendly hotel. It was a great place to stay, easy to walk into town.. There are great little walks around the area. Finishing the evening with a pint by the fire was the icing on the cake. Wonderful!

Excellent heritage pub various  rooms full of character. Beer quality excellent 5 real ales. Always a pleasure to visit. Highly Recommended

Great pub lovely people a pleasure of a stay. Great place to stay for access to everything. Lovely breakfast. Everything just spot on. Will be going back.

Was very comfortable and full of atmosphere, the staff as always so very attentive. Comfortable and well appointed room, great breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day exploring Durham. Looked after the dog like he was visiting Royalty.

Firm favourite with CAMRA. Tucked away on a side street it offers a selection of real ale also offers accommodation.

What can I say. A fantastic pub, a must visit. Staff and locals friendly.loads of banter, beer and gin fab  .will be back.

Lovely old inn, good room, good breakfast. So close to Durhams historic quarter, Cathedral and Castle as well as the Mstket quarter. Very friendly welcome. Free parking.

Firm favourite with the local CAMRA Branch, accommodation available. Good range of local beers.

Love this pub, 2 snugs with glowing coal fires, big lamp, and an incredible collection of spirits and Tony jugs. Nice rooms and a good breakfast too.
