Pleasant pub with friendly staff and old world feel. Would be better with old style real ales eg Black Sheep, Doom Bar etc..
Good choice of beers, ciders etc friendly welcome, outside seated patio at rear.
Still one of my favourite Durham pubs. Been going there for more than 40 years and still love it. Hasn't changed a lot and thats the charm.
