Great hidden gem! We were staying in a nearby hotel and this was essentially the only place with food within walking distance so we didn’t have our hopes very high. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and the vegetarian offering available. Both the snacks to start with and the mains were amazing. Our dessert didn’t blow us away we went for the brownie with miso, wasn’t sweet enough for us! but everything else was on point. The prices are perhaps a little high but they are 100% justified as the quality of food served is great. Staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for great pub food!
Wow. A tiny village pub in the middle of nowhere. Great parking, and even better food. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I have to admit I was not expecting anything more than pub food, you know, the classic fish n chips, sausage with mash and gravy etc... but when I saw the menu and ordered my food it came out as good as top restaurant quality. The food was cooked to perfection, the sauces and garnishes were excellently balanced and complimented everything beautifully. The portion sizes were small, but enough to satisfy. Great selection of wines -good selection of beers and a limited, but classic, selection of cocktails. I would reccommend people who like quality food to travel out of their way to this little village pub. You will not be dissapointed.
Worth everyone of those 4 stars! Ample parking Very warm welcoming. Seating was good. Atmosphere was great. The food was exceptional! Really was presented and cooked well. The taste was as good as it looked. Hats off to the chef. Would have been 5 star if the parmesan and truffle chips. Actually had shavings of truffle. But also they were skinny fries. Personally id have had chunkier chips. Maybe even skin on. Nevertheless they were nice
Fabulous Sunday roast. Beautiful setting, friendly service and wonderful food. A must visit if you haven't been already. The marquee is a great addition to the garden with private dining pods also available. Part of a small, local and independent chain with each site offering something slightly different but the great service and excellent menus remains consistent across the group.
We enjoyed our lunch there. Food was interesting and tasty. Lovely small garden. Big parking. The only disappointment was the size of kids portion. Kid-friendliness: Very small portion. A bit disappointing.
One of the best pub/restaurants in Cambridgeshire! Been wanting to visit for a few years and finally came for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming as soon as we stepped through the door. They provided an excellent service. The pub itself is charming, warm and cosy, with an ambient atmosphere. The food was exceptional, every dish was delicious and piping hot. Out of the starters we had the sardines were the absolute best, from the mains both the braised blade of beef and the pork chop were equally delicious and filling. The Choux bun desert was simply divine. Overall excellent quality, value and experience. Looking forward to coming back. Parking: Large amount of parking available.
Overall overpriced for the average service and food. We chose this place to celebrate our anniversary with my partner. We went for dinner during the week. Unfortunately we was quite disappointed with the food and service. My partner had the pie of the day the pie itself was nice, the vegetables average, looking good on plate but nothing special in terms of taste, battered mash wasn't fresh and tasty. Gravy was far from good quality. My Vegetarian dish Salt baked Celeriac was very plane teste and absolutely nothing special for £16.90 The service wasn't what we was expected.
Really nice roast dinner. Online reservations, dog friendly, quick friendly service. Happy to provide extra gravy. Would have been nice to have another slice of beef, as it was delicious.
Wow! What a lunch! Came here for my Aunt’s birthday and it did not disappoint. Had the focaccia to start which was some of the best focaccia I’ve had! Then had the pie and mash which was absolutely delicious Staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, and the inside interiors are stunning! All in all, a lovely place to celebrate and relax with family!
Food and service is top notch ! I tried only veg. There are quite a few options for vegetarians. I went with my team for Christmas lunch. Pricing is also reasonable. Must visit !!
