Lots of outside space - and pretty empty which was good. However, £6.90 for a neck oil which can be expensive, but this really is top end and an incredible £3.80 for a child’s apple juice. I appreciate they need to make a living too - but this was eye-watering for a quick drink. I did mention the pricing and was told “I know, it’s not cheap”. So clearly they know they’re on the top end, which is fine - but nearly £20 for 2 beers and a juice was ridiculous!
Everyone deserves to get a Pimm's at the Red Bull Newnham. It was delicious! I had a single shot version but I loved it! The environment was really warm and nice. The staff were really friendly and service was fast. I will be visiting again soon.
Loved this place! We drove by it and decided to stop, and we're so glad we did! Super dog friendly, they immediately brought us a water bowl for our doggy, and when we ordered a plain burger patty for him they brought out a bigger bog bowl for him to eat out of. The staff was incredibly kind. Also, they have vegan pizza!!
Very nice pub with a great outdoor space. Staff were very friendly; service was really great. And our food was really excellent. Proper pizza with perfectly crispy crust with high quality toppings that had clearly been carefully selected by someone who really knows what they’re doing. Went back for a burger and was not disappointed—one of the best I’ve had anywhere in Cambridge.
We stopped in the Red Bull last night, a Tuesday, after a recital at West Road. It was 21:42 and we were just wanting a quick drink. The woman at the bar was rude; apparently, they close at 22:00. We opted for a drink anyway. "You literally have 10 minutes." she said. My husband settled for a half and I a G&T. "I'm out of ice." she said. Okay. We got the message and left. Easily the most unpleasant interaction I have had at a Cambridge Pub in a very long while. A little "Sorry" would have gone a long way. It's better at the weekends, that's why I've given it a couple of stars.
Lovely pub, very welcoming and very friendly manager. Very much making this a regular stop off. Quiz on a Tuesday night too which we look forward to trying

Being just around the corner from work, we decided to have lunch there. We rang ahead - just in case. But it was empty when we arrived at 12.25pm. We were greeted by a warm and friendly member of staff and sat at a picnic table outside in a fair sized area. Our pizza's arrived promptly and were hot, tasty and freshly made.
Excellent pizza. Good beer. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Great pub.
This pub changed my life. The Red Bull is a good solid local pub in Newnham a central Cambridge district. The staff are friendly, the pizzas are good and they serve a good range of beers and wines. It’s busy mainly with locals but you get a few passers by dropping in. Monday’s are two for one on the pizzas and it’s wise to book ahead. I actually live in Cambridge because of the Red Bull. I was living in London and while visiting a friend who was unexpectedly out I ended up waiting for him in the Red Bull. After sinking a pint by the fire I asked myself why I didn’t just live nearby. After another pint by the fire I could come up with no good reason why I didn’t live somewhere so excellent. In fact why didn’t I live close by? The rest is history. I came here to study, founded a business here and still live nearby. They’ve a big outside heated area during COVID-19 and have warm cosy atmosphere the rest of the time.
