Lovely pub in a great location. Owner was very welcoming and the place is immaculate. We only stopped in for a drink but the small bar had a great selection of beers and ciders that I get the impression were carefully selected. Whilst we didn’t stay or eat here, I am sure you will be well looked after. The only reason for dropping a star is down to dogs not being allowed in the bar, which is fine. They do provide a lovely covered out door seating area although whilst we were very comfy our dogs were not so lucky, having to lay on the slate chippings that covered the floor Even with the dog blankets we brought with us.
Exactly how a pub should be, warm and welcoming, friendly and efficient service and the meals looked amazing. Probably a good idea to book a table for dining here is very popular. I was not resident so did not see the accommodation but feel sure the same high standards will applyService: 5/5
Such a welcoming place. I went with a large group of people and the staff couldn't do enough for us, they went above and beyond to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves and our meals. I would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to go for lovely food with a warm welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed it so much I have been back with my family twice since Highly recommended!!!! Enjoy!
We booked for Mother’s Day Sunday Lunch and it was fabulous! From the friendly and helpful messages during booking to the meal on the day - I couldn’t fault anything. The food was exceptional, especially the Morecambe Bay Shrimp on toast. I would highly recommend for any occasion. Food & drinks: Really great value and portion sizes. All items were delicious!
Had a Mother's Day meal. The service was wonderful, beaten only by the quality of our food. It's a lovely place. Very welcoming. It's our second visit in two weeks. Won't be long 'til we go again.Service: 5/5
Was on a girls trip to Bardsea and came across The Ship - staff are absolutely lovely couldn't do enough for us! Had both meals and desserts here, both amazing! Sticky toffee pudding to die for! Staff welcomed us and stuck footy on for us in the back room. Will definietly visit again when we come back! Thanks for the hospitality Katie! Kirstin on the crutches
The manageress was extremely rude and abrupt. Myself and my partner were enjoying a drink when we were asked to leave because we had a dog even though we had phoned prior to make sure that dogs were allowed We later visited another local pub for food, and got chatting with other customers who have had the same experience at the ship! And pointed us in the direction of more friendly establishments to dine in future.
We had such a good meal. Lots of chouce and beautifully cooked. It felt like restaurant quality food in a relaxed environment. Loved it. XLocation: 5/5
Absolute gem of a pub. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. The staff made us feel very welcome. Excellent meal. I've already returned, have another table booked, and several more trips planned! Can't recommend The Ship highly enough
Stopped in a B + B across the road and went for a drink on the Friday night and booked in for a meal on the Saturday night, we were made to feel very welcome by Lee and Kimmy on both nights. The meal we had on Saturday was some of the best food I've had in a long time, the service was outstanding also We will definitely be revisiting this little gem again soon Thank you again Lee and Kimmy
