Nice friendly pub .wasnt that keen on the porter beer but I guess it's an acquired taste . Staff were very welcoming
Great little local pub, often overlooked by visitors to Ulverston. It serves good ale with real fires in winter and a good beer garden that gets the sun in summer. Definitely worth a visit.
A lovely little pub, with a TARDIS of a beer garden and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ulverston. A good selection of well kept beers which I assume rotate frequently, a warm welcome and friendly service and a nice atmosphere. What's not to like!
Excellent pub with a superb atmosphere, friendly staff and great selection of beers . Very highly recommended to make the effort and visit . Hidden large beer garden at the rear of the pub for when weather is nice too that we enjoyed sitting in as sun was out and hot . Lovely refreshing drink there for my wife and i
Always a decent selection of proper ales. The owners and staff are always pleasant. One of a kind!
Lovely welcoming pub with its own brews and a good selection of beers. Nice beer garden to the rear. Very relaxing. Friendly staff.
Great bear, great people, great friendly pub. Lives up to its name. Oh! and a lovely beer garden
A good selection of cask ales. A cosy atmosphere and warm welcome.
Great pub. Brilliant staff, cracking beers and a lovely pork pie as well.
Best mulled wine in town, lovely location and friendly, helpful staff. Love it here
