A very good old style pub and a great place for a beer and a wine, there is a fantastic selection of very well presented ales, it also has a beer garden, its comfy and well laid out, and will be even better when the weather picks up and the sun's here, reasonable prices. Friendly attentive owner and staff. Great atmosphere, well done guys.
Great Pub, with real fire when cold, lovely for defrosting after a long walk, and nice beer garden when the sun shines. Friendly atmosphere, and dog friendly. Always has a great selection of beers on tap to wet your whistle too
Stopped for a drink whilst waiting for the Chinese order from next door. Lively place only stopped for one drink. Reasonable enough, prices and allowed the kids to wait in the pub also. Beer was spot on, good selection of cask ales and beers. A lovely open fire which we were lucky enough to get seats next to. Dog friendly also! Didn't see any food for sale but they may have done! Will definitely visit again if we're up that way again!

Great pub, different beers on pump. Gary the landlord very informative with the beers that are on the pump. Nothing too much trouble. Dogs allowed. Clean and very friendly pub. Only accept cash which isn't a problem. Love the beer garden personally.

Great selection of ales. Nice friendly half Scottish! barmaid. 35ml whisky. It's all been done up. Beer garden is apparently nice, but we enjoyed sitting in front of the massive big window indoors. Very handy for anyone staying in the Premier Inn. Well worth a visit.
