Fantastic choice of vegan food. Amazing. Photo attached of roper halls vegan hotdog topped with vegan mac n cheeze, with crispy onion bits. So tasty.
After hosting my NYE event at Roper I have to give a huge thanks to Greg and the team! Bar staff were brilliant, loads of beers/spirits available and always happy to go the extra mile to ensure the event went smoothly. 10/10 recommend Roper for events, food or sporting events.
Huge improvements on everything since I last visited. Staff are SO lovely and welcoming. The new menu is great, lots to choose from including subs and quesedillas. Photo is avo & bacon crumpets which were delicious! No huge waiting times and staff check back on you.
The more I come here the more I like the pub. Ian is a fantastic manager, supported by good staff like Jack, Ellis, Jamie, Fran, Ben, John, and special mention to Beff, I may have a little crush on Beff of only she was 6 inches taller Door staff are also amazing, Josh, Iggy, and the others are fantastic
Absolutely amazing food and wonderful service. We only paid £24 all together for two meals that were stacked and delicious and two drinks both doubles of rum and whiskey. The staff are wonderful and welcoming, the wonderful man who served us even gave my partner recommendations on rum as it is their favorite. Will definitely be visiting again ^_^

Had a great experience here last Thursday for the quiz! We go every week for Ste J and had the guest host Rob this week. Great quiz, didn’t get close to winning but great environment overall !!
Great place, went for the Ste J quiz but was pleasantly surprised to find that Nice guy Rob was hosting! Fantastic quiz, loved the 50 points cheeky question about Ste Js middle name. Rob should do more quizzes! Fantastic craft ales, thanks Ben for recommending!
Enjoyed the night and the quiz masters humour kept us going, admittedly we could have done better beer choice was good and at a much cheaper price than other places with a friendly bar staff. Same time next week?
Just did the quiz with some friends and we were beating the quizmasters mates team up until the last question, so he rigged it and asked for the ‘quizmasters middle-name’ for the last question, for 50 points, which only them in the building would know - being his friends. We’ve turned up for about a year doing the quiz buying drinks every single week when all along we couldn’t even win ??? Not only this, but winning the quiz means a £20 bar tab, which is what we were robbed of and what I’m assuming they all share together every week. Absolute joke will not be going back
