Great food, great pub atmosphere in an old, old, old building. We had the flat iron steak, I had squash food, all very tasty. Prosecco to cheer up, cold and perfect… Good selection of beers although they all looks water to me… very reasonable prices. I will return for sure!
I drove past this place as I was visiting Richmond and just had to go in ... From the breath taking views outside to the stunning 1700's building, was enough to convince me to walk through the doors and blown away. Not to mention the outstanding quality and service delivered! The steak I had was served exactly as I asked and was probably one of the nicest I have ever had and was pleasantly surprised by the price ... the staff were also very lovely and accomidating! If I am ever visiting Richmond again I know where I'll be returning!
We love this pub. If you're after the feeling of the place this is probably the best pub to visit in Richmond due to its location. There's no place like the Roebuck during the weekend because they allow you take your drinks and some food outside on the hill right outside the pub where the view is unrivalled. The food is also incredibly good and the service is usually really nice as well.
FANTASTIC!! Great food, loved the fish and chips, delish. The best part? The service, hands down. Adam is fabulous, super friendly and very patient with our large party with ever changing orders. Must visit!
Back again. Was here in April last year and this was our go to pub when we came back. Had a lovely pork belly and apple squeak with a very tasty roast cabbage quarter. Maybe one day we can make this our everyday local.
It is such a perfect place to spend your free time while you're in Richmond. So full of history, excellent view of the park, great selection of beer, and most important great staff shout to Alisia always happy to help you out making a good beer choice: if you're lucky enough to visit, please ask them about the charity they support and donate based on your ability. Was alone there, but I was so welcomed and felt like home.
A very traditional pub with very cosy settings. The views both inside and outside the pub over the city are absolutely first class. The staff were friendly. The rooms upstairs meander so depending on the event will vary on interactions of guests, on this occasion most stayed sat in one place due to limited seating. Generally a very enjoyable place.
One of the best traditional English pubs around! Amazingly friendly service, pints you can bring outside to enjoy the Richmond Hill and Thames views, plus delicious food. Love bringing out-of-towners here - they’re always impressed.
A great little find just outside the Richmond entrance to Richmond Park. Was a well-earned find after a 17km to and around the park. The fort was not the standard pub fare and they offer a wide selection. Pub was clean and the antique pictures on the wall complemented the proximity to the park. Would definitely go back again. It’s outside the ron so not over-run with people.
Traditional pie was so tasty! And they have both of my favourites - Old Rosy Cider and Neck Oil Ale
