This hugely talented, yet modest, chef operates an absolutely superb kitchen at this very attractive and spacious restaurant on the Surrey/London border. He won the prestigious Roux Scholarship a few years back and his food illustrates the creativity and technical dexterity of a top end chef. Each course was a surprise in a good way and so different. Star of an amazing show was the charred bream, served in the most unctuous sauce with a real Asian twist. Front of house was impeccable: thoughtful, attentive, friendly. Could not fault the team at all. Everything you would want from a truly fabulous dinner.
A wonderful lunch in stunning surroundings warmly delivered by a great team! Such beautiful presentation of all the dishes. Stunning flavours with wonderful fresh ideas. For me the pea soup cold with apple ice and smoked eel was just beyond brilliant!! AWSOME wine list that marries with the food to perfection
We had a delicious meal and a brilliant experience. That staff were very attentive, informative and friendly. The food was delicious and interesting which I like in a tasting menu. There were also drinks pairing menus for soft drinks, beer and wine - which I've never seen before and greatly appreciated
The bestie was in town so we booked lunch at dysart petersham for the tasting menu £110. My friend did the wine pairing for £65 and absolutely loved it. This was such a great lunch - we stayed for over four hours enjoying the food, the drinks and the service. The spiced pear tonic in the heat wave was just what the doctor ordered. My friend really enjoyed the pairing and also said he got a lot more wine than he was expecting as the glass portions were generous. The cocktails were well priced at a Michelin restaurant in London c£14. The whole menu was delicious! My favourite was the peach dessert. Would recommend this place and would dine here again.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch, went for the tasting menu which was absolutely delicious and reasonable value relative to comparable Michelin-starred restaurants. Every course was great, absolute highlights for me were the 'chaud froid' egg not at all what I expected but memorable, the charred bream and the lamb. Humongous amounts of truffle were appropriately served throughout the menu! Cocktails were excellent! Matched wines were also very good and worked with the menu, but with hindsight we'd have been better off ordering individual glasses as it was better value and there were a couple of wines not to my taste. Service was fantastic - friendly and attentive and not pretentious. Really nice, spacious restaurant interior, not crammed-in like other restaurants. Easy parking for the non-drinker sadly, me in the party. We will definitely visit again.
This was the must lovely experience for my friends and me. It started off by us being seated despite me making an error with the booking. I thought I'd book but somehow it wasn't confirmed however the staff were so helpful and set the 3 of us a table. Then came the food, super tasty, super fresh and unlike other menus. Homemade focaccia brilliant, my veloute was sublime delicate with depth. My taste buds were zinging from start to finish. The main course of roasted potatoes in seaweed with truffle so so tasty and the dessert truly spectacular both in looks and taste. Petit fours and tea made a perfect end to the wonderful meal. A very special dining experience. Vegetarian options: My meal was vegetarian and it was absolutely brilliant Parking: Easy to park
A wonderful birthday treat. Impeccable service and quality of food. Loved every moment and really appreciated the extra effort to accommodate for my gluten free coeliac needs.Recommended dishesOxtail Risotto, Crème Brûlée
The best dining experience I had so far! Located in a pitoresque part of South-West London, The Dysart is elegant, yet it doesn't intimidate like other high-end restaurants. It is friendly, cosy, and the service is impeccable! We were impressed by our hosts' knowledge and their suggestions were really inspired! Well done! As for the food, you can tell that the chefs are taking pride in what they do! Never knew you can taste so many flavours in one dish! I highly recommend the turbot, it was fantastic!
Delicious, beautifully presented food in elegant surroundings with exemplary service. Every dish was well executed with some delightful flavour combinations we have now tried both the tasting menu and a la carte. It was also great to have good alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail options along with well selected coffee offerings.
Lovely, seasonal food. Great service, waiters were lovely, attentive, knowledgeable about the food and drinks. And let us take our time. Food was really tasty and interesting and portion size just right. So nice to try new things I've never had before and the waiters really kindly explained what everything was, happy to be asked, were a bit geeky about it, which was very sweet. Beautiful building, cosy and comfortable with a log fire, in a lovely location, right by the river and Richmond Park so you can walk off the calories.
