"Nestled between land and sea, at the top of a tranquil tidal creek on the Salcombe estuary, the Millbrook Inn is a hidden haven for those who enjoy good food, great wine and a pint of local ale in front of the fire or by the brook. We take great care and love in our offering, and source the finest local drinks, produce, and highest quality meat and vegetables from our family farm, Fowlescombe Farm, about 15 miles away. Our food is prepared and served simply to reflect the seasons, in the tranquil South Devon country surroundings. Our home, the idyllic village of South Pool sits within easy reach by road from Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes. At high tide it’s just a short cruise up the water from Salcombe."

We went for the Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Safe to say it was the best roast we’ve ever had. Fresh produce, smoked meat and veg, cooked to perfection. Gorgeous pub, friendly and attentive staff, great selection of wines and dog friendly. We ate upstairs, and was so bowled over by everything the only photo we took was of the amazing lighting We will definitely be back again. A gem of a place.
Exceptional. Brilliant service, excellent food, great farm to fork story, lovely, relaxed, friendly ambiance. This place is now on both mine and my husbands dream ‘Off Menu’ podcast selection. We could not recommend it highly enough. Will likely return to South Devon simply to dine here again! All I can say is thank you!
The food is superb, locally sourced and beautifully cooked. The setting is idyllic and relaxed with an excellent selection of wines and others drinks. Service was friendly and efficient and they offer a range of different events throughout the week which sound great!
Found the Monkfish to be dry and tough, and cabbage side came swimming in half a litre of a heavy cream sauce. Companions’ ‘farmhouse veg’ starter was just raw vegetables which would benefit from being at least blanched. Service nice and efficient though.
Wonder place! We arrived without booking ahead but were totally welcomed and seen to a table. Staff are charming and friendly and the menu is superb. 100% Recommend.Service: 5/5
Had a really good Sunday roast here. Really lovely setting, freshly decorated. Great service and food. Friendly for coeliacs! Food & drinks: Delicious food, friendly for coeliacs. Gluten free options. Very enjoyable.
A bit of luxury in the heart of the South Hams.. Amazing food, well dressed and kind staff. Free wifi as no signal but sometimes thats a good thing… Will definitely return..
10/10 Meal - trust me I love my food, starter, main, desert really - 10/10. Lovely staff too.
We stopped today for a quick drink on our walk. What a little gem of a place. Great beers, wines, and the service was fantastic, we were served by Megan who was so knowledgeable and very charming. We saw outside a bbq Smoker that was smoking two whole salmon fillets, we met Ian the chef who was very informative and offered us a sample of the salmon, It tasted amazing. As we were about to leave we asked directions and the lovely manager Caitlin came over with a map and gave us a detailed walk plan. Thank you to you all, and we wish you the very best in the future.
Amazing meal. Could've selected anything on the menu - our food was tasty, looked great and cooked just how we'd hoped. Good portion with room for desert. Great service Going back soon
