Came here for lunch on our stop at Slapton Sands and what a little gem of a place this is. The portion of scampi I had was huge and the chips were really good. The large cod really was huge! The dessert was divine too. I can definitely highly recommend this place as the portions are massive and the prices are more than fair. The lady serving us was lovely too. Will happily come back here!
Great little pub with takeaway. Good menu. Fish and chips very fresh and tasted great. Generous portions. Fresh crab sandwich also very good. Service excellent. Highly recommend.
Went for lunch, fish and chips were incredible with a lovely curry sauce. Others on our table had the prawn salad and crab sandwhich, booth looked equally as good. Great service too.Food: 5/5
Great all round. Huge portions of quality food. Included a special on the fish board; grilled Red Gurnard plus a classic Haddock and chips as well as a kids calamari definitely big enough for an adult size. Super friendly service, nice atmosphere amongst the staff, which is good to see. Very quick too with minimal waiting time. Finally, of course, it's directly on the coast, so easy to have fun as a family jumping around on the rocks and catching the sunset.
The waitress Jessica? was quick and helpful, fish and chips were perfect, moist haddock in crispy batter and tender medium rare steak. Perfect after a quick dip in the sea strong undertow. Wheelchair accessible.
Absolutely superb fish and chips, had medium and that was plenty and great choice of beers too - always come here when I'm in the area for a treat!!
Fresh prawn salad was absolutely delicious. And banoffee pie for sweet was outstanding. Thank you for making my Mothering Sunday extra special!
Lovely pub situated right on the coast in Slapton sands. Lots of fish dishes on the menu with a fair few caught locally. Special mention for them having a specific gluten free menu.
Friendly table service. The only pub in the Airbnb dominated but beautiful location. Outside seating, takeaway and bar. Plus the nearby carpark has the famous tank memorial. A unique part of the world.
Probably the best pub I’ve ever been to in the UK. One second walk from a glorious beach. Amazing food. Amazing beer. This has everything and more. Cannot fault it.
