We were recommended this pub from our campsite up the road. The food is really lovely with lots of choice. I'm vegetarian The staff are very friendly & attentive, making us & the dogs feel very welcome. The gardens are beautiful, someone obviously spends alot of time on them. We've been here to eat for both nights of our stay in the area & can't recommend it enough.
We called here for a coffee. Two hours later we left. Service was natural, helpful and friendly. The beer garden was an amazing oasis to sit and chill. The food was absolutely awesome and such reasonable prices. Would definitely visit again.
Gorgeous pub, the 3 tier pub garden is beautifully maintained, the owners were so nice and they had my favourite local pints on tap! Honestly stunning.Food: 4/5
Visited many times over last 28yrs, same landlady, same chef husband and always guaranteed excellent choice of home cooking. Always on our to do list when passing. Fabulous friendly pub, reasonable prices.

After reports online I expected much better! Food was not upto much and arguably not much home cooking too...Drinks are quite expensive and average looked after...the inside is a quaint pub with loads of brass like a good old traditional pub... parking limited..
The best ever beer garden! Also a curious old pub with an excellent selection of Beers and cyders. "Slap ma gurdle" is especially good.

Absolutely stunning food! A raretity in the UK to find a pub that hasn't been destroyed by being modernised. Love this place! Reasonably priced, fresh food and drinks proper pub grub! Love the fact you can take the dogs too will be back next year! Wish this was our local
