This place is outside the US Embassy and a great place for lunch. We enjoyed a whole sole fish grilled along with a green salad and homemade chips. We were also given a basket of bread that was delicious. The fish was very fresh and other food was great. We also enjoyed Niko who served us. He was very friendly and accommodating. Try this small restaurant if you get a chance. The whole fish was a bit pricey but there are menu options for €10-15.
Overall a great experience! Had some tasty oysters and an amazing sous vide octopus which was remarkable. Had a bit higher expectations from the fresh fish of the day but still. Service could get a bit more detail oriented as well. All in all I would dine again!
Fish Market is absolutely amazing. Ther service is phenomenal - this place is like a second home to me. The chef's are incredibly creative and inventive. They use the freshest ingredients and have created the most amazing atmosphere. If you are in Athens and want a nice night out at an amazing restaurant, Fish Market should be your top choice!!
Exquisite place to make a food experience enjoying it from the quality to the service . Freshly prepared dishes in many different ways that stimulates your palate and enthusiasts your appetite . The place offers a lovely environment in and outside with his original decor accompanied by a nice and friendly staff. In fact, not only I highly recommend it, I already have been a few times .
I tried the daily fish that was recommended, the grilled red mullet and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fresh and well grilled, not overcooked, and juicy on the inside. The vegetables were on the chewy side and not so much to my liking, as well as the sauce which I felt could have been buttery or sour instead. But the fish was still great on its own!
Small local restaurant with great quality fish and seafood. All dishes are fresh and tasty. Highly recommend to everyone who's trying to taste good local food and avoid a tourist traps. Will definitely come back again.

Guided by the 5 stars reviews, i was expected a nice experience but unfortunately nothing innovative : grilled octopus was a chewing gum, tartare and tatakis seams boiled, not fresh, even salads had some faded leaves, In one word : disappointment !
Went there last year and had to go back again this year. Excellent food and super friendly staff. For starters we got Tuna tataki, salmon tartare and green salad with fresh grilled prawns and avocado sauce. And for main, the dish of the day which was octopus sous vide with fava split peas pure and balsamic vinegar. Really satisfied with the quality of the food, very fresh ingredients and well presented plates. 100% recommended.
We had a large family dinner for 12 and were so pleased with this charming place. The servers were attentive and recommended so many delicious things. The fish was wonderful … the sashimi was fabulous and the local wine was delicious too. This wonderful local place is just what we were hoping for . This is a wonderful place to go when in Athens!
