We booked a meal for 6 people and 2 dogs and we had a lovely time. The food choice was good for both adults and children. Also, a good selection of drinks. The service was very good and the staff were great. You need to be aware that the pub is in the market place so doesn't have it's own car park and parking can be limited.
Popped by as we'd been to Hopton hall to see the snowdrop. The bar staff were very friendly and there was a reasonable selection of cask ales. The menu is a bit restricted and we couldn't find anything which took our fancy, as we wanted a snack, or sandwich or small plate, not a full blown Sunday dinner. The place was clean and tidy but could do with a touch up here and there. Recommended for a drink.
Went here yesterday/ SundaynWe had a lovely friendly welcomenWe were 4 adults and 2 dogs , all soggy wet from a walk. We had a good dry out infront of log burner before enjoying a lovely Sunday lunch . Had mix of vegan/ veg and meat eaters and all was delicious. The service from staff could not have been better or any more friendly. Thank you ladies and those cooking also .
My wife, daughter and I visited yesterday and the food was very very good. We went for lunch and then back again for an evening meal. There must be a special mention for Jane, our server, without doubt the best waitress I have ever met. Great manner, swift service and a very polite & friendly personality a credit to the restaurant and more importantly herself.
Dropped in for a drink and bite to eat. Staff lovely and friendly. Food beautifully presented, very tasty and served hot. Great location in wirksworth on a holiday break.
