Excellent restaurant. Top class food and lovely food. Great menu and so much to choose from. All freshly made. My only criticism is I had a Bouillabaisse, and it must have had a star anise in the amazing stew. I bit into it, and aniseed filled my mouth, which overpowered the other beautiful flavours. However, it is a top restaurant and will return.
Popped in as a couple for lunch, had an excellent croque Monsieur whilst my wife had a steak. Food was really tasty and the setting felt authentically French.nWould really recommend for anyone after a classy Bistro in the Derbyshire area.nGood for gluten free as well.
Took the opportunity to visit Le Mistral whilst away camping.nThe menu was fairly compact but covered a lot of bases, especially with a separate specials board.nFood and service were both excellent just wished we had something similar in our home town.
Had lovely service here, warm and friendly. Shame that the food wasn't as good. This was our second visit the first was so much better. The squid was very over cooked and when replaced whilst cooked better it was tasteless and also had the Croque Madam, again this was overcooked with crispy bordering on burnt edges, and why no dressing on salad garnish a little mustard vinaigrette would have really helped. Was disappointed after a lot better first visit last year.
Lovely little bistro. Very delightful food.
