The Louisiana is an intimate venue above a pub. The pub is a decent size with plenty of tables and well presented. On my visit I found the staff friendly didn't have to wait long to get served. I did get my drink in a plastic cup, but didn't bother me. The venue is accessed up a winding staircase; the room itself seems pretty small but during the gig there was plenty of room for the 140ish crowd. The stage is about knee high off the floor, so being about 8 people from the front there was a pretty decent view of the band. The lighting and backdrop simple but effective; great sound system, vocals a bit distorted at times, but you want it turned up to 11 to enjoy it! Had a brilliant gig courtesy of simplylove. Would not hesitate to go back on another occasion.
Nice place with good music! I love the support for local musicians. Everyone was pleasant and helpful and the cider tasted fantastic. The toilets were good and clean and it's in a fun area.
Louisiana is amazing for its history and curating their lineup for musicians every week. Do catch a gig there!
Great small live gig venue - can get busy at the bar in between bands so pick your timing for getting a drink - then all good.
Great music but the demographic that attend in my opinion probably arent used to being around black people . I felt an unsettling vibe there , I didn't feel welcomed and definitely won't attend again
Came on Saturday 7th of January. Superb venue. Fantastic night, all 3 bands were amazing. Will go and watch them all again but Versus Savannah something else they could go all the way
I watched an amazing bad called Maria & the 2nd Chapter. The sound was incredible, the staff were very welcoming! A great night out!
Had a quiet drink but intend to come to a music night. Highly recommended
