We came here for Sunday lunch and the food was very good, the dessert was equally as good, the portion seems small at first but it’s actually sized well as otherwise the richness would have been to much. The staff are very polite, kind and willing to help. Special thank you to the lady downstairs who greeted us and complemented my t-shirt, made my day . The view from the balcony is nice and you get to see the boats go past as you enjoy your meal. I recommend coming here.
A very nice restaurant and pub close to Bristol harbour. We visited for a team Christmas lunch and the service was great. The tap was broken which wasn't ideal but we did get bottled alcohol and drinks instead. The 3 course food service for c.50 person was pretty intense but the colleages worked fast and we were done within 2 hours. The quality of food was also ok for the price we paid and presentation was good. Recommended for relatively large group events.
If you travel to Bristol, highly recommend you to take a break in Riverstation for a drink, especially on the sunset time, you can enjoy the splendid view on the terrace. Of course, their restaurant is nice, too.
Great restaurant, nice venue, the menu could offer a bit more variety, but it was good food. Artichoke was my favorite dish.
Went for a pre christmas lunch with my partner. We ended up having some sourdough bread as a starter and chicken roast as a main. 10/10! Lovely service, reasonable pricing, amazing food!
Lovely view of the river. Good portion sizes. I enjoyed the food, but nothing to write home about. Not a memorable meal. Service was good but they were not well versed in their menu or drinks selection.
Excellent service. Food presentation was lovely. Portion size quite meager. Overall, quite expensive and underwhelming taste wise. Would not recommend as there are far better venues in and around Bristol.
We’ve literally just got home from our work’s Christmas dinner at Riverstation. The food was pretty good, portion sizes varied greatly and on the meagre side. A Christmas feast it was not. What we did have was cooked and presented well. Our main issue was that the restaurant was almost entirely empty. Aside from our table of six, there was a large party of 20 or so. Yet the staff seemed to do their damndest to avoid meeting our eye. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed a little nonplussed by our presence. When they did attend our table they were very pleasant, but overall, have the impression they would rather focus on cleaning and closing shop. When we ordered three more drinks at 10:25pm, the waitress informed us these would be our last drinks orders because they stopped serving at 11pm. It’s not as though they were understaffed either. There were six or so staff members, serving just two tables. Tl;Dr: tasty food in meagre portions served with lacklustre service that gave us the impression they would prefer we weren’t there.
The 4 starts are for location only. It’s a great place to sit that’s right on the waterfront and it caught the autumn sunshine all afternoon. We didn’t eat, so can’t comment on the food. The staff were far from dynamic and while they certainly weren’t rude, they showed no warmth or friendliness. Prices are high too. Over £19 for 1 pint and 1 large glass of white wine!
Happened to come here by accident due to a bridge being out for construction and I had to walk by it to find another route across the water. It's situated on the river with a nice view of the river and eventual sunset. The staff was nice and attentive while also letting the customers take their times. The food was very good! The ox cheek was like a steak sized roast beef and the seafood tasted fresh. I had the pickled herring in beet juice and oysers. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the servings are small and I needed to order 4 items and a desert to feel filled which would lead to an expensive evening for more than one person. All on all. It was a nice and relaxing time to spend my afternoon.
