Visited the pub for a drink before our Christmas meal and it was good. There was a separate area for us to congregate and do our activities. The drinks and nibbles were reasonably priced and good mix on the taps. One complaint was that they weren't serving any hot snacks with the drinks at the pub, you'd have to visit the restaurant for that which wasn't ideal. Hope this can be remediated as we had to have crisps instead.
We sat at one of the tables outside to enjoy the l local waterside views. The food was good. I had a dirty burger which is recommended plenty of it and very tasty. Good selection of drinks. Kid-friendliness: No problems at all with my grandson on the premises dining.
Thanks guys for a lovely experience in a new place the hole in the wall amazing atmosphere great customer service thanks to Josh and Alex going out their way to make us feel welcome and helping are needs. with dogs welcome amazing to find somewhere. And the food was delicious and filling with no delays.
Fantastic spot for a soup and cup of tea after a chilly afternoon wandering up and around Bristol. Super staff, great ambiance plus interesting history. In addition to the lively bar and main seating areas, there are many different nooks to sit in, plus outdoor seating.
Stumbled upon this pub and restaurant while strolling along the riverside while looking for a nice place to drink in an outdoor setting. We got both and more. I love the ease and efficiency of the ordering system via a QR code too so plus points for that. We ordered a pint each of Peroni and baked camembert with truffled honey, toasted pine nuts and sunflower seeds with artisanal bread on the side. Absolutely delicious! Will come back again to try other items on the menu
Hole in the wall was actually really good and we really enjoyed our night there. I was very pleasantly surprised as I had heard mixed reviews. The rack of lamb was really tasty, rich gravy and the butternut squash puree was so nice! Will definitely be back!
Lovely food cooked by Chef Jacques! Kerry & the 2 other chaps front of house sorry who’s names I didn’t get were very friendly and most accommodating. Made us feel welcome! We Really enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning again soon. Will recommend to family and friends 5STAR food and service.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere thanks to Kieran our server and the rest of the team! Had an amazing lunch here with our extended family, and we can’t wait to go back soon!
Popped in for a nice, relaxed meal and wasn’t disappointed. The linguine was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of chilli! Thank you Jacques for the lovely cooking and Kieran for being a great host. I’ll be back for sure.
Lovely roast dinner at The Hole in the Wall. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to our server Kerry and the chef Adam for the the great time :
