This unit used to be called Graze, owned by Bath Ales. It's actually a really pleasant dining room, spacious and well-lighted. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is poor, bordering on unacceptable. My sirloin steak, ordered medium, arrived well done and devoid of flavour - certainly not "35-day aged". The chips were soggy, the "dressed watercress" promised on the menu was actually spinach. The peppercorn sauce was full of sugar. The wine is heavily overpriced - a cheap, sugary Argentinian "Malbec" was £28.50 and so poor that I left half the bottle. The espresso is not bad. Owner, up your food and wine game. Your front of house staff deserve better than this, never mind your customers.
First class all round. The food we shared a chicken schnitzel with egg and frites and steak frites with amazing garlic butter was spot on, cooked perfectly with lots of flavours. The tap water was chilled, the service was brilliant and the mocha is easily one of the best I’ve had. My husband said the Americano was excellent quality too. Lovely setting and some great background music. A very enjoyable lunch. Thanks to everyone who looked after us, we are looking forward to returning.
Our dinner on a Sunday evening at Graze was average at best. Upon arrival we were only the second group dining there, it wasn’t busy at all. A rack of ribs is one of my favourite choices and reasonable in price compared to steak. My set of ribs from the kitchen was not to my palate. I usually like the meat so tender it tears from the bone easily. This was not the case with Graze’s. The sauce didn’t leave an impression on me either. Served with salad and fries, it was a good portion size nonetheless. Friends said the steak was so-so too. I wouldn’t re-visit given plentiful options in Bristol.
Excellent, very good food, and also beers and wine selections are good. The staffs friendly. 5 mins from centre and dew steps away from waterfront.
Great location, nice staff and amazing steaks. I really enjoyed it.
Food was of great quality, but honestly this excuse of a chateaubriand was farcical. Sold as “450g for two to share” but was smaller than the 225g T-bone for one. Questioned it with staff who continued to blindly claim that it had a pre-cook weight of 450g. It was barely enough for one. Would not come here again disgraceful.
Incredible food with an expansive menu and extraordinary selection of beer, wine, and cocktails!
Decent place in a great location. Staff very friendly, good drink selection and food looked good. Outside seating available.
Food was really good our table ordered the Pork Ribs, Beef Burger, Roast Pork and Steak. For the steak, you can reconsider ordering the sauce as it is a bit pricey and unnecessary in our opinion. The coffees were of a high standard and the dessert was very enjoyable. Good ambience and great for a hang-out with friends on a Sunday afternoon! Will be back!
New name, wonderful food and service. The steaks were cooked so well, the sauces were immense. 10 out of 10
