The Farmers Arms Great Eccleston

Having been here numerous times. This is one of my all time favourite restaurants. The attention to detail in the food is second to none particularly of you're a fan of fish and seafood dishes. The device and ambience are also pretty impressive

If you like seafood you will love this place. Does have other menu choices but seafood is their specialty. Great for special occasions and group meals. The staff were extremely friendly, well mannered and couldn't have been more helpful. We were a party of 10 and had reserved. We were in the private dining area which was lovely and can be sectioned off by a curtain. The log fire was roaring and it is cosy and comfortable. The pictures are very dreary, dark and dull but otherwise the decor and atmosphere is lovely. The food is of a high standard and the staff couldn't help enough, and we're very informative. Some of our group had allergies and the staff catered to these brilliantly. It is expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. I wouldn't go here regularly due to the price but definitely will return for special occasions.

Really nice place to eat, food delicious, staff brilliant and a beautiful pub/restaurant. Would recommend you book first as it's always busy.

Went for lunch on father's day, the only place we could find at short notice that could cater for our family group. Fabulous food in very pleasant surroundings. The service was perfect. A special mention must be noted for the lovely waitress Alice who was so attentive and helpful. She saw that I was having difficulty standing up due to the after effects of a stroke,and was instantly at my side helping me up without me having to ask. We'll certainly be back! 10/10 on all counts.

Great meal again, we are regular visitors and the food has never disappointed. Lots of variety on the menu and really good fish options. Once or twice, service has been average, hence only 4 stars.
