We visited as a group of 16 8 adults and 8 children ages 3-12 on a Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner served in a giant Yorkshire pudding, as big as the plate! It was spectacular! It was £25 and there was a choice of pork or lamb. The pork was a thick slice from a joint wrapped in crackling. For me, the crackling could have been crispier, but it was full of flavour and not soggy.nnThey have a children's roast dinner with a chicken option available. The children's meals came with a drink and ice cream.nnI had the Caesar salad, and I love it when there are anchovies added.nnThe outside area is amazing for kids. With a number of climbing frames for different ages, all of them enjoyed it. There were also a little play houses, cars, swings, and even a pirate ship The external play area in the field next door wasn't there.nnThere is also another outside area away from the play area, perfect for child free, al fresco dining.nnWe've been here a number of times and it is always good food and good service.
An absolute must-visit! I can’t recommend the homemade pies enough — they’re incredible and everything is cooked fresh to order. They also host a pie night every Thursday, which is definitely worth checking out.nI haven’t tried the roast dinner yet, but I’ve heard fantastic reviews. The service is great, the atmosphere is welcoming and dog-friendly!, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive.
We booked this venue for our mothers surprise 70th birthday and they were brilliant from start to finish. Highly recommend this venue!nnIt was a fantastic layout for the party with extra space for a live band. We ordered the bbq buffet for the party and it was delicious with our crowd polishing it off.nnThe staff were lovely. Both over email when organising everything, and in person when we got there. They also accommodated our labrador.nnWhen it came to the arrival of the birthday girl, the staff helped us know when she had arrived and really just added to the whole experience.nnFantastic!
We had a large family gathering birthday celebration which was excellent. Delicious food with something for everyone - very accommodating for allergies. Super service. The children loved the outdoor play area and feeding the ducks. We could not have been made more welcome. Thank you.
Nice location with a dog walk near by. We stopped for lunch, ploughmans was great and service brilliant. Highlight was the dessert
