Lovely old, dog friendly, country pub with open fires in the winter and a decent garden for the summer. Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. The beers are Fullers and always served correctly, the ESB great if you don't have to drive ! The food is definitely better than average pub food, all meals that I've tried have been excellent, the Chicken Kiev is highly recommended.

Excellent beer and fantastic service. It was fairly quiet so it was refreshing to see the barman making the effort to make the bar area even cleaner than it was already instead of slouching around playing with his phone which you see so often these days. Wish I was more local.

Fantastic!! Went there earlier today with a friend, our 2 babies and our dogs. We walk regularly with our dogs and like to enjoy a nice lunch afterwards- some places have been very unwelcoming, but the bell inn was great! Very friendly staff and the food was delicious! My steak, ale and mushroom pie was to die for! A very well deserved 5 stars- thank you for a very enjoyable lunch after a very tough long and cold walk!

We haven't eaten here for a while, this evening didn't dissapoint. Good menu, great service all at sensible prices. Beers good too. Be back soon, cheers.
