Came here with my family and enjoyed the omakase course. There was a great attention to detail in the flavours and presentation. I've had expensive kaiseki courses before and sometimes they've sided with a more subtle seasoning but here, the flavours were expressive and really very delicious. The uni starter was maybe my favorite starter I've ever had. The ants were also a funny touch. Don't be afraid, you can't actually taste them. The setting is beautiful, and the service is attentive and friendly. It was a very expensive meal but we had a few bottles of wine. ££££ for sure. Overall, if you can afford then highly recommend a visit.

We did the dining experience at the counter, was a little on the expensive side but the food was unique and exquisite… amazing food, will try the standard menu soon but check out the sushi
Innovative, fun and unique. Absolutely loved the taster menu here, first time tasting ants! The Japanese black truffle soup was exquisite, as well as the Kobe beef. Beautiful meal.
Wonderful restaurant/hotel with amazing views! If you are a sushi lover, they have got top sashimi sets!! Highly recommended. Currently only offering set menus though.
It was a perfect luncheon at the Japanese Grill, set in the beautiful property of Beaverbrook, with superb staff and delicious food.
Such a nice place, with excellent Japanese cuisine. It took us right back to our trip to Japan many years ago. The addition of ants to one of the dishes was a surprisingly appetising choice, with a large selection of sake to be served hot or cold. We went in the winter and were able to I've skate after lunch as well. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Food is great, I would say at the top end price wise for what it is, but it is good food nonetheless. Would recommend it for a special occasion. Wheelchair access via ramps which the staff are happy to deploy quickly. Outside covered and heated dining area is stunning.
You'll always remember the nigiri with ants and the wagyu sushi from here. So delicious and pleasantly unexpected. It was a truly exquisite dining experience in great company. The decor and service are impeccable - they take great care of you so you can enjoy the food and socialise.
Save your money. If you're used to places like Hakkasan or Yuatcha this place is going to be disappointing. Food is very average, nothing special at all. For 2 of us for only 1 starter, 1 main, 1 dessert and 3 drinks the bill came to £250. I don't mind spending out on a tasty meal but this did not = £250 to me.
