The word 'quaint' was invented for this pub. Its brimming with quaintness. The food is superb and in winter there is a fire in the fireplace. You can't ask for more from a country pub. Book ahead if you're coming on the weekend, as it fills up quickly.

The service was great the place is lovely. The food was mostly great and good portions. A couple of items were not quite as well prepared as the rest

Have not been to this place for a few years even though it's my local. But I loved the visit made realise what a hidden gem this place is. Food and menu selection is good and a good selection of specials. Selection of four Cast Ales and about 6 ciders and lagers on tap. Food was served promptly and not and staff were friendly and happy to help. Would recommend to travellers walkers and families certainly in the summer.

Came for dinner on a Saturday evening, had a drink to begin with then told at 7.40pm that the kitchen was closed. No explanation, very grouchy staff. Sadly won't come back here and I'd suggest others give it a miss too.

Warm and cosy atmosphere with friendly and accommodating staff. In the winter there’s a large log-burner to keep warm by and in the summer there’s ample outdoor seating with great views and a pleasant ambience. Good place for dog-walkers or as a stop-in for anyone passing through. Plenty of parking too.
