Award Winning Thai Restaurant in the heart of Leeds City Centre overlooking Millennium Square.

Story

Thai Edge is really a departure from the norm. Gone are the heavily themed, crimson shades and cluttered environments that are typical of oriental eateries. These are replaced by an approach that gives great emphasis to clean crisp lines, balance and intelligent use of space.

Thai cuisine is popular for its subtle blending of flavours, utilising herbs and roots such as lemongrass, basil, coriander, galangal, krachai, ginger, garlic and chillies.

Here at Thai Edge our menu offers an extensive choice of a hundred and forty five dishes for a complete Thai culinary experience.

Our internationally renowned head chief brings with him the culinary heritage of Thailand with recipes and techniques he has perfected through years of experience. Drawing on centuries old oriental and European influences he prepares mouth watering dishes using only the freshest ingredients that gives Thai Edge its authentic taste of Thailand.

Deep fried tofu taste really good. Good for people drinking wine and chatting, not for people focusing on food. The restaurant was nicely decorated, with a good view of millennium square through a ceiling to floor window. If you dislike other Asian restaurants which are too packed, this one would be a good alternative. It was spacious and the table was not too close to each other.
Very tasty Thai food, which was fresh and served without too long a wait. Prices were also reasonable and met our expectations for the meal. Only thing lacking was the dessert options, which were quite limited and on the night had what we would have liked missing.Food: 5/5
Atmosphere is great, service also 5*. All dishes we had were fine but without "wow" effect. Some of them were very taste when other little bit tasteless. Im general we had fantastic evening and staff surprised us with some cake as a birthday gift - we didn't mentioned about birthday party before - so 5 * for fantastic service!
I had both lunch and dinner in Thai Edge almost every Sunday for the buffet. The buffet menu serves a wide range of choices from starters 13 options to main courses cannot count. That's why I spent many times here to enjoy each of them properly. I love all the foods and I love Chilli paste seafood more. The price is reasonable for such great quality of foods, attentive staffs especially the girl taking care of the buffet area in the yellow shirt and 5-star atmosphere. I highly recommend it to all those who fall in love with Thai food.

I went with my husband for what we hoped would be a special Valentine's meal. Our bus ran late, but we called ahead to let them know and we actually arrived at 7.43 for our 7.30 table. We got sat straight away but then waited ages for someone to take our order. Then we waited ages for our drinks to come. We were warned that there would be a little wait for food, but we noticed other people arriving and getting their food before us. Someone finally came to the table at about 9, with our mains! They took them away and said our starters would be with us shortly. So at 9.15 starters came. They were ok. Then our mains followed at 9.30. They were nothing special and I think had been put somewhere to keep warm as my noodles were very sticky. I'd wanted to go as I love Thai food and I'd been to Thai edge years ago and really enjoyed it, but this was a massive let down. I gave the service two stars because the staff were very polite and also took a few pounds off the bill without us mentioning anything, don't know if this was a mistake because they never said anything to us about it. I gave the food 2 stars because my husband liked his starter but the rest of it was nothing special at all. We had a rose and a candle on the table hence the 3 stars for atmosphere. Overall, such a disappointment.
Great place, great food, and great service! It was tasty, well presented, and great value too. I lived the Chicken Pad Thai and the Golden Parcels. One thing to be aware of is that some days, the kitchen closes at 14:30. Whilst not an issue, if you look to book online, in advance, you can actually book a slot, for after the time you're no longer able to get food meaning the restaurant has to ring you up, to ask if you can change your slot. Other than that, it was a great experience.
I've never had Thai food or been to a Thai restaurant, so I was unsure what to expect. From the décor, the welcoming, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the choices on the menu, the service, the drunk and not forgetting the food - just phenomenal!! Patient while we chose our food. Food was served on piping hot plates. We asked for a certain side sauce to be made and they provided this with no disappointment. The wine was cold and crisp. The starter was enough to share. The dish was full of flavor, nothing was over fine and I really liked the fact the skin was left on the fish. All tasted so fresh! They were near closing time and they were kind enough to allow me to order dessert. All in all I would highly recommend here. Look forward to returning to try more if the menu. It's all we talked about after we left the restaurant, absolutely beautiful place, I would give more than 5* if I could
Great place for amazing Thai food! Absolutely perfect under lots of point of view starting from caring of each customer to flexibility for particular demands ending on amazing food!! In pic you can see Salmon in Sweet Chilki without pepper and pineapple, and Lamb Curry, side dishes are Noodles, Jasmine Rice!
Ordered a takeout from here tonight and this is all i got when it arrived - nowhere near a suitable portion. For £30 this isn't good enough.Food: 1/5
