Fabulous food and service. Had the sardines for starter - excellent. Thank goodness there was a break before the main course as both were very filling.

The restaurant is beautiful, staff were excellent and not pushy. Food is excellent but expect higher end prices. Better food than gusto, jamies, or ginos which are close by. I would come again.

Bad service and rude staff with waiters who tried to argue with us when we complained we had waited 30 mins just for our drinks and then even longer for our food. A shame that the staff ruined the night as the food was actually nice when it finally arrived.

We had a memorable meal in San Carlo last night. Every dish was outstanding but the scallops in blue cheese sauce with pancetta were the highlight. Service is wonderful. Six stars

A shame that we felt somewhat patronised on our last visit when commenting on one of the starters. Eaten here a few times, the food is good, but maybe due to our latest visit being a last minute decision and possibly not being "dressed for the occasion" I don't think we were listened to. With restaurant businesses in general struggling, maybe us voting with our wallet is the best way to make San Carlos listen.
