I purchased a Range Rover sport from Landrover less than one month ago. I have experienced so many problems with the vehicle I am now truly sick and tired of the vehicle and the quality of service from Landrover. When I received the car, there was a dent on the door and a scratch on the leather. Within the first few days sub 100 miles, the car went to limp mode, had an engine management light on, engine filter alert on, the windscreen reservoir was leaking, smart key not working in car, the list goes on. The sales rep confirmed that the car didn’t have gesture feature to open tailgate. Because we were told it wasn’t a feature on the car, the tailgate hit our rear wall as it opened when I was putting car cover on it. This damaged the car. The car was sent off to have issues fixed and I was given a smaller car as courtesy car - not ideal when you’re a family of 4 with a lot of stuff to pack when travelling. When I received the car back yesterday, there were new scratches all over the front driver side number and wheel arch - presumably from the straps / buckles used to load car to trailer. Landrover informed and “unsure if scratches were there before”. They’re currently investigating this. I have photos form before pick up proving this wasn’t there before. Anyway, I installed today private plates and what did I find behind the rear number plate but 10 holes. 5 holes were larger than 10mm each. They used an oversized plate to cover this area, presumably to cover all the holes and scratches. I am livid!!! The number of issues and the lack of attention to detail from Landrover is incredibly disappointing. The cars look great from afar, but the lack of quality is unforgivable when your consider the price they’re charging. They claim to do a 160 point check on the vehicles but I cannot see how this is possible when I can see issue after issue after issue. I would give them Zero stars if it was possible. Truly disappointing.
I had an excellent experience at Land Rover Taunton today. I picked up a puncture on my way to Bristol and the Receptionist Jan and Helen Service Manager were highly professional and dealt with it immediately. I shall use the garage again. A big thank you from me.
In the last 2 years our Range Rover Evoque's keys haven’t worked 3 times, the windscreen was replaced due to water ingress not covered under warranty an ABS sensor has been replaced at £550, the reversing camera replaced at £700 discounted price and then the next day we couldn't open the passengers door from the outside! Be aware that labour rates are £199 per hour! Asked JLR Taunton for a valuation on the car which turns out to be over 15% lower than elsewhere. Premium brand Is a joke, we'll never buy another Range Rover
Bought our latest Range Rover from Taunton Holly was very professional yet easy to approach. She managed to get the deal done on time and was helpful along the way . She always finds time for customers and we hope that this continues though out our ownership Well done Holly and the team At Taunton LandRover
Never ever use Taunton Land Rover. It is the worst car dealership my wife and I have ever had the misfortune to use. Atrocious communications, service and management. We are beyond livid.
I spent over an hour on the phone speaking with Customer Service to book a diagnostic only to have the phone put down on me because Livvy had to rush into a meeting. The team at Taunton Service department have a good feedback from me but the CS team are extremely rude. I will be making a formal complaint to a senior manager.
Booked in annual service and MOT giving them one months notice. Told because my Vouge was 7 years old I needed a new Cam belt even though it only had 20,892 miles on the clock. Their answer was it could perish. 3 weeks later I was told they do not have any Cam belts in stock and told to cancel my service. I advised them to continue with my booking and I will come back later for the new Cam belt. Range Rover rang me again 2 days prior to my service to cancel because they had no Cam belts. I explained everything again to the female caller and again agreed to continue the service at MOT without changing the Cam belt. Arrived at 0800 hours for the agreed service and MOT only to be told the Cam belt, stanard service and MOT will be carried out. I advise the service receptionist I was had been told twice you did not have any Cam belts. After waiting 10 minutes for the receptionist to try and gain access into her computer she eventually made a telephone call and was able to confirm the Cam belt came in 3 days prior without myself being advised. It was agreed that the Cam belt would be fitted, the standard service and MOT would proceed and this would take a maximum of 2 days. 3 days later I was informed the car was ready for collection. The service manager did call me prior to picking up my Range Rover and apologised. He also offered a small discount on my bill. Upon reading the bill in detail I could see no reduction. The final rub was when I collected the car I was informed that they did not have a new water pump and that I would have to come back yet again to have this fitted and there would be a further charge excluding labour. I leave the readers to formulate their own opinions. I will not go into the exorbitant charges except to say I could of purchase a second hand car for the same amount.
Took my Land Rover in for a differential overhaul because Bristol Land Rover did not have a slot and were quoting £200 more than Taunton Land Rover. Staff were professional and the work was completed on time. I was given brand new Peugeot to drive while the work was completed at no extra cost. While this was adequate I was happy to get my LR refinements back. My LR is running beautifully now, they even washed it for me! The sales team stuck to the quoted price even though a bit of extra work was required due to the age and condition of my vehicle. The mechanic found many other faults but I never felt pressured to have them completed. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my LR back to Taunton again.
