Could do with either fixing all the loose wallpaper or redecorating. Clean the windows, not a good look. Handwash in the showers, aye? Replace the bulbs where required and put in some sockets. The sticky clingfilm on orange juice & milk was of putting. Sadly, not impressed.Rooms: 3/5
Clean, inexpensive en-suite rooms. Nothing fancy but perfect as a base to explore the area. Basic continental breakfast. Kettle, tea, coffee etc in room. Also a hairdryer - not a bad bit of kit for the West Highland weather!Rooms: 5/5
The Guest House are lovely and well equipped with anything you may need. The staff were very welcoming and the grounds are well kept. Easy to find. Rooms beds are clean and comfortable, During our stay we not faced any problem All is well there,
My wife n I stayed from 10th Feb to the 12th Feb, this was a surprise for my wifes birthday but we didn't have a very good stay ,tv in room did not work n when we let owner know she said it was the weather ,bed was very uncomfortable so we didn't get much sleep ,my wife wanted a shower but couldn't as it was full of mould,breakfast was supposed to be continental all it was cornflakes, pastry toast no meats or cheese,we never saw any staff all the time we were here owner very unhelpful would not recommend this Guest house to any of my friends. If it wasn't for the lovely people of Oban making us feel welcome it would have been a rubbish birthday for my wife .Glengorm Guest House 0 People of Oban 10
I would say the decor is a bit dated & the place needs an update....if i visited in the 1960's! Its like a time warp. Locj broken 2 my room. Clean yes but very dated & expensive, never saw owner or any staff, parking a bit awkward 2, but i think thats just standard 4 this part of obanRooms: 2/5
Rooms were clean and tidy but reception room and front garden dated. Suite in front reception needing binned and layout needing altered to accomdate better breakfast seating. Great spot also as only 5 mins walk away from harbour. Oban itself stunning
Two star place. Facilities, cleanliness and state of interior as expected, not so good value for money. However, what lifts my experience to greater heights is Elaine, she seems to run the place 24/7 and took care of my incoming COVID test package. I think there's about five of her, standing by the less experienced traveller.
More a hostel than a b&b - expected better for money. Numerous signs stating you'll be charged if threadbare and tatty towels go missing but no sign to warn you of the super heated hot water no mixer tap or plug in sink to minimise risk of scalds. No extractor fan or even air freshener in windowless shared bathroom!Rooms: 2/5
Despite mostly middle reviews I think it 5 star experience. We booked a basic room with separate bathroom, but because no one booked in ensuite room we were offered it at no extra charge. The rooms are cosy, very clean and you can get your tea/ coffee to get you running in the morning...staff was very friendly, and despite arriving before 4 pm check in time, they accommodated our request and we could leave our bags to go on touring bag free...definitely worth recommending....
We were just looking to stay in oban for a night and looked for a reasonably priced hotel. We arrived early and parked in the car park and asked wether it was ok to park and walk into town. No problem. The staff was superb - all very friendly and helpful. We would certainly would go back.
