Been there a couple of times. Purchased a ticket for return trip to Margate the woman at the counter seemed more preoccupied with her mobile than anything else wasn't rude or anything like that but when you are serving customers your mobile should be put to one side so you can deal with the customer.
nice, large, airy and not too busy station. adjacent to the Olympic Stadium.
HS1 Station located right by Westfield Shopping Centre. Also convenient for DLR to London City Airport. Short walk through Westfield to main Stratford Station for overground underground and more recently Elizabeth line. Limited facilities and features in thr Station itself but plenty nearby including Tap East brewery for a pint while waiting for a train
British engineering at its best. The escalators are faulty two or three times a year, and each time it takes more than one month for them to sort it out. And obviously for a supposedly international station there was no provision for escalator redundancy.nnThey even have a designated board over the maintenance area!nnGlad to see the almost £6 one way ticket for 7 minutes on the train being put into good use.
It's the 10 year Olympic anniversary , and I did work here, over the Olympic games , long days and night , but enjoy my work , enjoy the photo :
