I Phoned the surgery this morning to make an appointment to speak to a GP . I was asked if a call from a practice nurse would do. I said no I wanted to speak to a GP. Later that Morning I got a call from a practice nurse. On another occasion a submitted a sputum sample to be sent to hospital for analysis to see what type of bug was causing my chest infection. The sample was sent to the hospital without any accompanying form so the path lab rejected it as they did not know what to test it for. This caused a one week delay in me being prescribed an antibiotic that worked on the bug I had. I was very ill for a week longer than I should have been. Earlier this year I phoned and asked for a telephone consultation that's the only kind they do. A GP phoned my while I was driving on a busy dual carriage way with no place to pull over so I could not answer my phone. He phoned again 30 seconds later, I was still on the same road and could not pull over. A message was then left on my landline answer machine asking me to make another appointment. Why couldn't the GP have phoned another patient or two and then called me again?
Awful practice. Was given a prescription for my son and was told I could take it to any pharmacy. No it was a token for a specific one. So my son was left to suffer for 3 days while this was sorted out. The receptionists seem to think they are medical professionals and need to know every detail of why you need an appointment. Dreadful. I would give no stars but it wont let me.
This practice is absolutely disgraceful! Reception is very rude and unprofessional do not know why they work there no care in the world.when someone calls up and tells you that they are in alot off pain and its an on going situation to be told a doctor will call you back to then having trouble with the phone lines and you call to let them know that their calls not connecting to them telling you its not their problem that the doctor is going home soon! I'm sorry but covid is not here anymore you should be getting patients in for a face to face appointments not this phone calls where you feel rushed! Your duty is to care about the people to help them not be so heartless! How can you diagnosis people's illness over the phone!
Would give this place 0 stars if i could. Takes ages to get through to speak to unhelpful staff. Book telephone appointments for the doctor to never call. Show absolutely no concern for one's health or wellbeing. Finally ended up speaking to a female GP over the phone who has no manners or appropriate conduct. Act as if they don't have the time do the job they are employed to do. absolute disgrace.
Absolutely dreadful surgery. The GP went off on holiday without issuing correct paperwork for my mum’s cremation resulting in the cremation date being cancelled and causing a lot of distress. When we followed their complaints procedure and put an official complaint into the surgery it was ignored. They don’t return calls, they don’t turn up to scheduled home visits for people on palliative care, they are inept, unfeeling and caused a lot of heartache at what was already a difficult and sad time for a grieving family.
The worst clinic in the world! I have never seen such incompetent people. I don't understand how some people practice this profession if they are not able. They read on the Internet what the child has according to the symptoms I mention or when they don't find it on Google, they send you to the hospital. I don't understand how this clinic is still open, it's terrible, I've never seen anything like this in my life. If you ask for an appointment with the doctor, the nurse will come and consult you.
This surgery is rated 11th worst surgery for getting a face to face appointment? in the whole country!! It actually made the Daily Mail for being so bad . More chance of winning Euromillions on the national lottery than seeing a Dr!!
System for appointments is laughable. Those answering phones have no clue. Seeing an actual doctor is nearly impossible. Total lack of concern or empathy all around.
I've been with this practice for 9 years and I'm really disappointed at how it's gone down hill. When you call at 8 you can't even grt into a queue, then call later to be 19th in the queue then by the time you get through all the appointments are gone. I had a procedure at hospital and they said my gp has to give me a nurse appointment to change my open wound dressing. But I've been told that the 'nurse called in sick today' and referred me to 111. Just poor management and contingency planning when so many rely on your service. You can't get face to face appointments and was asked to send photos in. It should be you providing this appointment not 111 when they are under a huge amount of pressure already. I've told them I'm changing GP's as I'm really not happy with the service.
I had to leave this surgery ,the staff there are very rude and unprofessional !!! I had to call a few times for a repeat prescription which they wouldn’t bother to send to the pharmacy, they were saying on the phone we have sent it but they didn’t, so I had to drive back to the GP and get it myself.The receptionist was very rude and had no idea what to do! This also wasn’t the first time that it happened. I would recommend that this company should employ the right people and change the attitude towards their patients because people who go there they’re actually coming there for a reason!!!
