I would give them 0 star not even one. A year down the line and I still haven’t managed to book a single appointment for myself or my kids. You have to book appointments on the day but it’s impossible to even speak to someone, the reception only answers the phone to say they have no appointments and call back tomorrow but it’s always the same story. By far the worse gp I have been with, don’t waste your time filling out the forms and registering with them, you will never be able to see a doctor. My 4 year old son has an infection and now it’s day 4 I couldn’t book an appointment, if anything happens to him, I will see you guys in court.
I very rarely ask for an appointment but yesterday tried to get one for an ear infection - in fact have not had one in years with a doctor. All my glands were swollen and temperature of 38deg, After 2 hours on the phone was advised no appointments go to walk in centre. Waited 5 hours at the centre and was amazed at how many people came in that are registered at Larkside. Definitely gone downhill
Worse GP ever. Me and my family barely use them. Today my wife called them for my son as he has a continuous cough for over 1 week. after 40 minutes of trying to speak with someone the receptionist said take him to walk in centre ! If you can avoid them. Would not recommend anyone to register here
Would have given zero stars if it was available. Have been calling this surgery for weeks now only to have no luck and not so much as a phone appointment. Yet when I have gone into the surgery on rare occasion there seems to be nobody there? Doctors are great but reception doesn’t seem too bothered about the needs of the general public. Nice to know my taxes are well spent to have my family never be able to access medical care when we need it. Do NOT bother calling because after 54 times a day you’ll be wasting your breath and airtime. Rather call 111 that seems to be the only time anyone from here will contact you and not promptly neither To think I come from a third world country like South Africa and even there I received better treatment and could get a same day appointment. Shocking
Its been a week of calling everyday at 8.30am, as advised repeatedly, only for the line to be continually busy. 5mins later you'll get an automated message saying the appointments have all gone for the day. Absolute joke. I've explained that I have a 6month old baby, I don't want to take her to a walk in centre and risk exposing her to worse illnesses, and I just need her to be seen.
Got to be worst GPS in luton! Reception staff are obviously there to steal a wage because they don't have any interest in the care side of the NHS. Took 3 weeks to get phone appointment unfortunately I missed call because I work in construction with heavy machinery. Phoned back straight away got told pretty much my own fault and had to make another appointment this one would be pretty much in four weeks time. Well in four weeks time I might not be around the way my mental health has ditearated. I hope the caring receptionist has board shoulders because I'm sure my family and children will thank her for caring so much.
I am trying to book an appointment with my gp, but there is not such of thing. You have to call in the morning, 8:30 and if you are lucky, you will find a place, otherwise the answer is to call again next day. Most of the time when I called the line was busy so I couldn't even speak with the receptionist. I am so tired of this.
Simple Impossible to book an appointment . Online booking system switched off for ages. If you are unwell, or perhaps working , forget this practice unless you can spend 40 -50 mins on the phone to hear that you need to call back again:-
Son hasn’t been to the doctors for years. Urgently needed an appointment this morning but couldn’t get one. What does one do? He’s really suffering. Going to try tomorrow but will probably be exactly the same…..he’s having to take time off work without treatment. Awful
Nightmare to get through on phones, nightmare to book an appointment, nightmare to get referrals, not very helpful or caring at all. Sort yourselves out and act like people that do their job because they care about their patients, not just because its a job and it will do! We are people not numbers!
