Absolutely useless. Give you the run around for something that should be classed as a priority. If I’m in need of urgent emergency medication, why does it still need to take 3 days for my medication to come through. Every minute they change up the way they do things as well. Just stick to one process & make it simple for PATIENTS TO REQUEST THEIR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLINE. Because I can’t see how I’ve put in a request like I usually do on Wednesday and then on Saturday my pharmacy is saying that my request has not been out through. Ridiculous.
The parking is a trap here. There are multiple cars permanently parked for months here. So there’s usually No parking available on-site. If you innocently park right outside and miss the notice it’s a private parking place - you be slapped with £100 fine. This all seems like a trap to me. This has probably the filthiest surface I’ve seen in the country. They don’t have budget to clean the decomposed leaves but have money to pay for traffic enforcement officers. Update: in half an hour I’ve been waiting here, I’ve seen people come and park their car in the disabled bay and walk outside to run some errands. So clearly their car park is being misused by locals who know this and patients from outside pay the price.
I was diagnose wrong by" doctors" with no experience. Disgusting service terrible receptionist and worse gps and management... I been in pain for months and they don't do anything... even after my scan results has been send to the gp they lie they haven't received it until I told them I been calling the place I had the scan and it has been sent to my gp ...then to be told they don't have anything available to wait another week to get 5 minutes appointment call how hard it must be for them ... rubbish rubbish and worst gp in Luton... do your jobs or get the f... out of that gp let others who wants to work and do their job... rubbish workers there.. And receptionist talking about her Muslim husband to be heard on waiting area and chatting about patient... how uneducated they must be !
I m patient for this surgery from last 8 years it was use to very good surgery but nw it’s really very bad whenever ring no appointments keep stay in queue for long and when ur phn connect they disconnected by themselves, no any equipment for kids for play kids can’t coup in this surgery for long they have to really make little kids area with colour and papers, or other toys. Really disappointed.
I’ve requested repeat prescriptions 3 times! The pharmacy still hasn’t received the request! What an awful situation to be in, our health put at risk because of a service disorder. Medication that we reply on! Not available in time! Disgraceful
This is probably one of the worst GP surgeries in the UK!!!! You wait on the phone for 1 hour and then you are advised by the receptionist to fill up some kind of form and wait for days for the GP to call you back! If you miss their call just because you don't carry your phone 24-7 you have to start the whole process again!!! This is worst than in any 3d world country!!!
Been with this practice for 30 years. It used to be good, but the last few years it has declined badly. Impossible to phone for an appointment. The telephone system is impossible to get through, always "you are 27th in the queue" and have to hang on for an hour, then get disconnected. The receptionists are generally very rude, arrogant, lie to your face, and treat the patients like rubbish. Absolutely appalling service. Now here's the thing; The practice gets paid money from the NHS based upon the number of registered patients. There are 25,000 people registered to this surgery with only a handful of GP's a few of whom seem to be unavailable most of the time and they are STILL accepting new patients. It seems they are focused on getting the funding from NHS, but not bothered about actual patient care.
Shabnam Receptionist extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Her vocabulary contains only ‘I don’t, I won’t , No ‘ and always hangs up the phone. I worked in a healthcare centre myself and to behave and speak towards the patients in the manner that she does I would’ve been long gone with a record which wouldn’t allow me to ever work in this sector. Outrageous, outrageous behaviour!! Every time this lady picks up the phone I know nothing will come to a resolve. She raises her voice, does not care about people’s frustration - this is our health we are talking about, I don’t call the practice because I want to hear your voice - does not even attempt to try to help and on top of that she hangs up the phone in your face. This lady should be on the Auditors top list. She’s not even a practitioner but she clearly knows what a nurse or a doctor can advise you??? Sabnam - Rudest Receptionist!!!
I’ve been with Lea Vale all my life, Used to have the most fantastic doctors, who I think have left since because I haven’t seen them in years. I understand the NHS is in a crisis, but for working people, trying to get an appointment or a call back from the GP is impossible. From calling at 8am on the dot and then put in a queue if you’re lucky and then being told to call again the next morning because slots are gone after an hour waiting on the phone. I asked if it was possible to set a time for my telephone appointment. It was a no. The clinicians work against their own schedules and so there’s no telling when they’ll call or IF they’ll call. When I called 111, they said they have their own appointment slots with our GPs which guarantee us time to speak to someone. It’s unfortunate that I then got a text telling me that it’s scheduled for the next day instead. The condescending tone in which the receptionists use just make me want to give up and I don’t get to ask for information I need without being spoken over. I can count on my handsingular how many appointments I’ve had with the GP since the age of 15 and each time I’ve always been asked why I hadn’t gone to the surgery earlier. The ratings for this surgery tell you everything you need to know. I’d requested my online log in details for months to no avail. Surely they could utilise having an app like the other GPs in luton.
Doctors are absolutely amazing but the receptionists and manager of the surgery are awfully rude. Will be filing a complaint!
