Temporary toilet are situated outside the station which you’re not informed about until you’re on the platform; you’ve then got to go back through the barrier and get lock out which means you have to use the help point which take a substantial amount of time for something that Stoke train station should of considered. The cleaner should also refrain from aggressively pulling at the toilet door when someone is using it; it’s very clear that the toilet is in use it took me having too shout twice it in use for them to leave the handle alone thankfully they didn’t enter but this is a massive concern and to top it off both cleaners ran off no apology. Typical Stoke station thinking about its customers last as accessibility was not considered
Like all old train stations, there are good and bad points. Signposts in the front aren't too clear, as they seem to say only buses are allowed, yet cars are allowed too. The entrance to the back car park isn't great, especially if the barriers aren't working.
No one manning the barriers only platform 2. My valid ticket would not scan and no one about had to go under the lines to platform 1. If you can’t man the barriers they should be open. Also why did my valid ticket Derby to Longport not scan at the barriers, I am allowed to break my journey and barriers should allow me to break my journey
A beautiful big Jacobean style train station, great for accessibility with wide platforms and staircases, was super impressed with the facilities, shops, food and staff members.
Awful train station, roadworks outside for the past two years, trains constantly delayed and often cancelled over the summer months. Train Station needs to get a grasp on construction works desperately to avoid the heavy disruption.nnInadequate and unacceptable service, however the staff are always helpful and plentiful options for food and drink. Which takes away the frustration of poor service.
