Second time visiting for food, and both times it’s been amazing. Great attention to detail, fresh and seasonal food. Helpful staff and best of all, it’s dog friendly. Fabulous to see all the hardworking chefs in the kitchen as you go past. The sticky toffee pudding is top notch. Keep up the great work.
Our food here was spectacular. Perhaps the best fish and chips I've ever had. Perfectly crispy batter, tender fish, tasty mushy peas and tartar. The chips were thick cut and plentiful. Hats off to the chef!Rooms: 5/5
I'll be honest, we found this pub at lunchtime by accident due to road closures. After a long afternoon out at Port Isaac we had to drive a fair way to make sure we found it 'by accident' again on the way home. A lovely pub, beautiful beer garden, decent choice of beers, wines and cider, and staff who were really interested in where we were from and where we were staying locally on holiday. Wearing a Spurs polo shirt led to some great banter with the Arsenal supporting lady behind the bar... :-, especially when we returned later in the day. It was a brilliant place for a stop; shame we were eating out really as the food looked and smelt gorgeous. On top of that, a small hut in the beer garden had an interesting selection of speciality foods to buy and take away. Absolutely recommend this pub for a visit; there was a huge family sat in the beer garden on our arrival, and the staff had them served with drinks and food in no time at all, whilst also serving our group and others with no delay. This is customer service with a capital S. Go there. You won't be disappointed. Food & drinks: Great choice of beers, ciders and wines. Food wasn't tried but looked and smelt gorgeous, for a fairly reasonable price having looked at the menu.
We only had a couple of coffees and hot chocolates at around lunch time so I can't comment on the rooms or much else. The pub was very nice and traditional inside. It looked lovely from the outside as well and there is a very nice beer garden opposite with plenty of seating and space for children to run around. They had a fire pit too and I'm sure it would be lovely to drink there in summer evenings if you are staying at the inn.
We booked for Sunday lunch it was delicious. We had one beef and one lamb, all the trimmings and it was fantastic, would highly recommend. Finished with sticky toffee pudding which was also fantastic. We enjoyed a drink before in the bar in front of the fire which was also lovely. Great pub!Food: 5/5
We were looking for somewhere to have a nice pub lunch after spending the morning at Port Isaac and we came across the St Kew Inn as one of the highest rated in the area. It did not disappoint. Great food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service. Would recommend to anyone in the area as it's 10 minutes from the A39.Food: 5/5
Fabulous old stone pub, cosy, with log fires and slate floors. Really excellent staff, good beers and superb food. 11 of us cycled to this gem, having booked that morning. The staff were all so welcoming, the two ales we had St Kew ale and Tribute were delicious. The food was excellent, all home cooked, great flavours and good portions. The vegan cauliflower dish, although wonderfully presented, was the only one that we felt could have had more flavour. A really very good long lunch.
Wonderful experience on a warm Autumn afternoon, simply very special. Really nice tree shady gardens make for a nice environment for an afternoon or early evening drink. Service friendly and helpful, we loved it.Service: 5/5
wow - the roast beef was amazing! Honestly, the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. It was super tender and flavourful - pure genius, and the sides all perfect. Plus, the prices were really reasonable. If you love a good roast, you’ve got to try this place!Food: 5/5
Our visit was very pleasant with the staff being very welcoming and happy to help. Food presentation was wonderful and tasted magnificent. Well worth the journey to find and would definitely recommend the whole experience. Thank you! We will return.Food: 5/5
