Brought a bike from Smyths on Saturday cost me £200, we took it home to build ourselfs wasn't paying 15pounds for a wheel, seat & peddles to be put on, 2 days later my son normal day went on the bike the handle bars kept moving despite been tighted up he started peddling the gear wire SNAP! He went flying over it we took it back to be told they have to a bike export to look at it understand the process but because we buit it they won't refund me, lovely lady gave us the bike back. We waited alday for a phone which never happend we had chase them agtwr ringing 20 times no answer we had go down. Afford buying bike from Smyths
Staff named Louise, at the counter was very rudennI visited Smyths Toys Longton and affter finishing our shopping, we went to the checkout to pay. The cashier, Louise, scanned all of our items and asked for payment. Unfortunately, my wallet wasn’t working, so I needed to call my wife to use her wallet on phone, who had gone to another aisle with baby which I didn’t noticed.nnI politely asked Louise if she could wait a moment while I got my wife. She agreed, but she didn’t seem happy about it. I completely understand that the delay was my fault, and I appreciate that it may have been inconvenient.nnHowever, after waiting for quite a while as other customers were served, I asked if I could move to another checkout that wasn’t busy. Louise replied that I had to wait because she needed to serve the other customers first. Her response and attitude felt very rude, and her facial expressions made us feel as though we had done something wrong. It was an embarrassing and uncomfortable experience, especially with our baby with us.nnI later spoke to the store manager, she was understanding, and apologised for the experience.
Staff named Louise RUDE .nWe visited the store and tried to pay. We politely asked Louise for assistance, but unfortunately, her response was very rude. She said “WHAT” in a harsh and disrespectful tone, and her facial expression also made us feel very uncomfortable, even though we had spoken to her politely and had done nothing wrong.nWe understand that everyone can have a difficult day, but customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this experience left us very disappointed.nOur Bill was £149.95
Don’t find the manager sophie very accommodating, I had gift vouchers bought for me for smyths so I could purchase a product that had a special deal with a free product. They were still displaying the poster but didn’t have the free product available. They were not willing to substitute the product or offer anything in its place. Felt that I was been patronised by the manager because I was asking for something for free, but it was an offer that I had vouchers brought for them items specifically. They soon took the poster away, when they realised there mistake. Didn’t find the service great.
Decent staff that actually help and chat with a smile, security lady is lovely and helpful also, massive store got everything and it’s the best thing we have had since Toys R Us
