The hotel's central location was a standout feature, offering easy access to the city, and making it incredibly convenient for exploring at your own pace. Everything was just a short walk or a quick ride away. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Our room was well maintained, with attention to detail that didn’t go unnoticed. The facilities provided everything we needed for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a day of exploration, and the bathrooms were spotless, with all the amenities you’d expect. Overall, this hotel offered fantastic value for the price. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely return on our next visit.
Ideal location, very straightforward to get to from the train station, even with my terrible sense of direction. Staff were all pleasant and the room was clean and a decent size/layout for a couple of nights away. Nice big mirror, neat wee kettle and TV we could see from the bed which all suited well. The only downside was the bathroom - the door wasn't very private and the "wet room" set up meant the floor was wet a lot.
Very clean and excellent location for the city. However, if there's 2 of you in a room you'd best be on good terms as using the toilet descretly is impossible. Also the shower soaks the bathroom floor making using the toilet for ladies difficult as trousers/jeans get soaked. If you have lots of luggage and again there's 2 of you, you'll be stuck for space, especially if you are staying for anything other than a night or so. The only place to hang towels to dry is right above the toilet so make sure the lid is down because if the drop off you're in trouble! Our first room had no hot water, this was sorted quite quickly after a bit of discussion but the 2nd room smelt of sewage but by then couldn't be bothered as it was just a base for us. Don't be put off, just understand what you're potentially getting. Rooms: See above
Just got back from a 2 night stay. Absolutely loved it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Shower was lovely. We had clean towels both days we were there and our tea coffee etc topped up. The hotel is in a great location as well. Right in the city centre. We will definitely be back and recommend anyone going to newcastle to stay here.
Good quality price but too small and low quality bathroom with door not opening completely and low cost taps. My windows was in front of and at the same level as the station parking, I had to close the curtain 24h/24. Mobile data was not working in my room, I had to go close to the window to use my phone.Rooms: 3/5
After a 6-hour flight, I had to wait until 3:00 PM to check in. Having arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM, I returned at 3:00 PM and the room was still not ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes, only to find a bed with stained duvet and sheets. When I mentioned it to the staff, they changed the sheets and duvet, but it's very annoying to have to check if everything is clean after flying for 6 hours and having to wait 5 hours for check-in. The breakfast was quite varied
Very convenient for Train Station and for city centre. Lovely, friendly staff. Compact room & shower room. Had everything I needed, including hairdryer. Comfortable bed. Super soft towels. Nearby activities: Short walk to the Castle, worth a visit. It's downhill to Quayside so uphill walking back!. Pleasant walk along the river to the Millenium Bridge. Lots of restaurants nearby. Walkability: Short walk from train station 5 mins. Restaurant and shops within easy walking distance, fairly level. From the hotel towards the river is downhill and a bit steep walking back. Food & drinks: Buffet breakfast is available in the hotel. Sainsbury Local & small M&S Foodhall in train station along with Costa and Burger King. I had a lovely gluten free meal at Revolution, very close to the hotel. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Brilliant hotel, lovely staff and very comfortable. Great location close to the town centre and station. Hotel was clean and tidy. Friendly receptionists who were happy to take our bags prior to check in.Rooms: 5/5
Its ok, good location. You get what you pay for, the service and staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean but have no fresh air, the bed was really uncomfortable, metal around 2 mattresses on double bed and the bathroom is tiny, its a wet room, shower only, no bath, with Smoked glass door so can see each other on the toilet. Unable to open any windows. Heating ok had to have it on full. Quiet during the stay here in April/march 2024. Full English Breakfast for 2 is £23.90 and beer prices high at bar.
I booked a double room thru agoda app requesting twin beds just to find out that we only have a large bed. The lad on the reception tryed to convince me I mistakely booked a double bed instead of twin beds and when I showed him the proof, he told me that was only a request on the app, not a guarantee of receiving what I payed for and they have nothing to do with that, all the twin roomstwo in entire hotel are booked so I had to pay one more room or to sleep with my coleague in a bed. I ended up paying for another room and that doubled our costs with the acomodation. The room was ok, clean and confy but a little bit noisy because of the train stationnothing they can do but good to know. Also even if they say online that they have parking, they don't: there is a public parking belonging to the train station and can cost you up to 20£/day. For me was 12£ from 5pm to 7am. Overall, a nice hotel but the fact I ended up paying more than double from initial price will keep me away from that place. Re: 1. You offered me a "large discount" of 3.25£: from 59.18£the online price for the first room to 55.93£the extra room I had to purchase. And that happened only after I asked if can you at least offer me a discount.I will come back with bank statements. 2. About parking...ceck your online profile.
