We stayed in a suite at the Malmaison for 2 nights, the night before and the night of our wedding which we had in a venue nearby. The room was amazing, the staff were brilliant and the food was delicious. Everything about our stay was wonderful, we were so impressed by how helpful the staff were and their attention to detail. We didn't want to leave! Thanks for making our stay so special, it really added to our whole wedding day experience. Rooms: We stayed in the Mauretania room and highly recommend it. Wow, it's a fabulous suite, with a great view and a wonderful bath! We also loved the Foosball table. Noteworthy details: The staff were really helpful, friendly and attentive. It really added something to our stay.

Can’t thank the staff enough, they went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. From speaking with Dave a couple of weeks ago for help, to check in yesterday and then getting the chance to meet Dave this morning at check out. The room was great, the staff friendly and the breakfast tasty. Stress free and relaxing, definitely worth going back.

The location is absolutely great and I think this is what they really have going. Hotel was nice, love the dark feel to it. Clean rooms, got the essentials though apart from a fridge. Restaurant was okay, didn't wow me but with lovely staff. The bed was soft and comfortable which was nice. And the hotel is surrounded by other restaurants and it faces the Gateshead monument Bridge.
Nice quality hotel. Thought the price was a bit much for what you get. But ultimately no regrets. The parking is not as clear as you would like and there is not as much of it as you may think.
Great hotel, stayed in the Percival Suite which was lovely. Breakfast was amazing and so was the service by TIRSO, he has looked after us on other stays and we have never been disappointed. Rooms: The room was very comfortable and spacious. Nearby activities: Bars and restaurants close by Safety: No problems Food & drinks: Great food and drinks
We have been coming here for a number of years and love this hotel. Food is excellent and the bar is really relaxed. Great staff who are very attentive and friendly. Overall I would recommend this hotel as it’s in a great location by the quayside.Rooms: 5/5
A lovely hotel situated in the old Co-op building on the Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne. Spacious rooms, easily upgrades available and a short walk from the centre of town. Excellent variety of goods for breakfast, including fruit, yoghurt and a cooked breakfast to your liking.Rooms: 5/5
The best thing about this hotel is the food, dinner is really lovely The staff at breakfast are amazing especially Tirso, he was so attentive, breakfast had a good selection of things to choose from. Such a shame all the rooms are dirty, run down and over priced for what you get. The location also makes this hotel!
