Went to SCS a few weeks back to order a sofa and carpets for our new house... although other reviews on the customer service are poor, we actually received a brilliant service by the team. Sorted out payments on finance for carpets and the sofa and arranged to be delivered to our new house (in stoke) today. I have taken a day off work unpaid as both were being delivered and fitted at some point today. I had been waiting in the house since 8:30am, get a phone call off the sofa delivery man at 12 noon asking where I was as there was no answer at the door. When I asked where they were, he had delivered it to my parents house in St Helens. What's annoying is that we had phoned up and confirmed the change of address 2 weeks previous AND signed documents at the store for change of address just last week. I've also rang up to see where the carpets fitters are, to which the response was "they're stuck on a job, the earliest they can come is Saturday". Not very good when the set date was today and we are not available on Saturday. There is clearly no communication and organisation between the store, delivery drivers and the fitters. I've lost out on a full days pay for nothing. Still waiting to hear back about when they are going to bother turning up to the correct address with both my sofa and carpets. I just wish I had read the reviews before ordering from there as it's clearly a common thing. Horrendous and appalling service, I will be making an official complaint. I would suggest to anybody looking at buying from there... don't! Although they may be brilliant in store, you're most likely going to have problems after you leave!

horrible customer service from the Warrington branch. We were somehow made to feel like criminals during a routine credit application even had to return home for documents before being denied and lied to on our return. The member of staff couldn't wait to see us leave and failed to return my birth certificate. Really unprofessional and quite upsetting. One good thing: Tapi Carpets had the exact same carpet (different name) and it saved us £100.

Warning do not buy from scs had a sofa and chair for coming up to 2 years. They have been out to it 6 times to repair. There customer service is the worst and will blame you and try to get you to claim on insurance for faults with items. Alot of the reviews on here are by people who get paid to write them or from a member of staff in there head office I have been made aware of. Trading standards are now involved under the sale of goods act 1979 as a sofa should not need to be repaired 6 times in 2 years for faulty folding parts. You have been warned. Read all the other reviews on any other site to see what scs are really like.

I am still awaiting notice, after a promise from this store, as to when I will receive a chair I ordered 6 weeks ago.
