Same as dozens of reviews here, rude staff who act like customers are an inconvenience.nnStore manager should really consider if the evening/late supervisor on 12 June is really capable of doing their job properly.nnI watched her accuse a woman of opening and using a return, really nastily with a smirk on her face. After ‘offering’ the customer a gift card instead of the cash like she was doing her a favour, the manager admitted after the customer left that they’d closed up early and emptied the till so had no cash to give her. They literally bullied a woman for nothing other than to satisfy their own laziness.nnThen when it was my turn to be served, they said they’d closed the Amazon returns counter half an hour early. When I asked why, I got told it was because the app shuts down, then when I questioned that, it was because they’ve sealed the bag instead, and then it was because of staff shortages instead- despite a staff member sat on the customer service desk. I offered to scan it and drop it in the self serve box so it can be sorted tomorrow and she was really forceful that they’d stop me- no doubt to cover the fact they’d been closing too early.nnThere were three older women, one on self serve, one supervisor and one behind the customer service desk who all seemed really pally. Clearly they were making things difficult for customers on purpose to try and get everyone out.nnIf it was just the return situation it wouldn’t really be worth the review- but watching her speak down to the other customer before me and admit that they were covering for their themselves is crazy.
I am an Asian customer with limited English, and I had a very disappointing experience at Asda Warrington Superstore.nnI purchased an Amazon gift card worth nearly £200 and opened it immediately after payment to ensure it worked. To my shock, the claim code inside was already tampered with – two characters had been cut out. This clearly meant the card was unusable.nnI asked Asda staff for help. A manager and staff member looked at the card but refused to refund me or properly assist in contacting Amazon. After almost an hour of waiting, they only asked me to leave my details, and eventually, security was called to remove me from the store.nnI understand this might not be directly Asda’s fault, but as a loyal customer I expected real support, not to be dismissed. The lack of responsibility and care was deeply disappointing, and it left me wondering if I was treated this way because I am Asian.
Baby change was locked so went to ask a staff member who looked at me like I have 5 heads and said I had to que at the customer service/ciggies for a key.nnMy baby had a poonami so I ended up changing her in my car. Absolutely disgraceful when a staff member could have got it to help me but obviously too much to ask!
Really good store. Polite and helpful staff. Friendly store with good, value products. I am a regular shopper. Good parking and excellent store for everything you may need under one roof. Well done team Asda.
Cafe staff were very polite and as I was waiting for my chips to cook the staff member remembered where I was sat and brought my food over. Much better customer service than my experience at Westbrook.
