Cozy little typical British pub. Plenty of different areas to sit and stand. Even on my short visit close to Christmas, there was enough space to accommodate the growing team of people we had attending at varying times. Staff were a bit young for a busy bar but seemed to cope with the masses that were in there. Nice for a quick pint before catching a train at the very close by Salford Central Station.
Had a warm and friendly greeting in this Salford local. Good real ale selection including one all the way from Somerset. Popular bar with the local lads with good pool table and TV's. Huge amount of new building in the area so it is good to see this and other traditional pubs like the King's Head and The Eagle still going strong in the area.
Absolutely fantastic pub. I can go in during the day or in the evening and always receive a warm welcome. The landlord, Ken is so accommodating and is happy to ensure he has vegan wine in stock . The jukebox is epic! 10/10
Easy access from Manchester Town centre this Salford pub Still has the same warm atmosphere from back in the day. Great bar staff with a fast a friendly service. Good range of beers and ales with even there own Lager would definitely recommend a visit.
Great pub around 10 minutes walk from Deansgate if you're heading from the centre, turn down Bridge Street and it's at the bottom, just past the train station in front of you. Good beers, reasonable prices, very friendly atmosphere and luckily for us we got there just as happy hour had started. Would highly recommend this place!
Another pub that's had a bit of work done. It now has several different rooms, a pool table and a medium-to-small-sized courtyard. Good place to go for a relaxed drink with mates if you want hospitality but not much disturbance. The place has a laid-back vibe so you may find you'll spend more time there than you expected..
Proper traditional pub, with good beer and food, and the most friendly & helpful staff you could imagine. Celebrated my 60th birthday there recently with family and friends of all ages, nobody was disappointed. Ken & the team, you did us proud.
Tuesday night is vegan food night! So it gets a good review from me :- the starter and dessert were lovely, main was a bit flavourless and dry. But the menu goes up on Twitter every week so check it out! Very friendly service and staff. Weird mishmash of decor inside - a little bit renovated, a little bit tacky, and some very old. Credit and debit cards accepted. no contactless.
The live band was good, but the drinks were not. It seems that they only cater for the locals who drink pints and halves, which is fine if that's what you want. There was no white wine except for Pinot, no Prosecco, just one glass of Merlot and two bottles of old, warm Champagne on the top shelf for only £45? Not really impressed tbh.
Good old pub. It's a shame they no longer serve food but nevertheless the staff is very nice, the beer selection is quite wide with lots of local brews. Great place to watch sports in Salford, highly recommend it!
