Lovely place with a great atmosphere and surprisingly good food. The staff and service were amazing. There were a few issues during our visit but they were handled incredibly well. This place is also dog friendly and my pup loves it here everyone was very nice to him which is always nice to see.
It is what it is... Student hotspot so adjust expectations accordingly. We came in a group booked ahead and there was only one or two people on the bar with a queue of 30 or so people. They were very friendly still so credit to them, but the wait was very long and the food pretty basic. They warned us it would take a while to arrive and we were fine to wait, but nothing special when it came. Left straight after. Might be worth then matching staffing levels to bookings and when good weather is forecast.
We only had drinks sorry but staff lovely but the place is so rundown I thought it was shut from outside no kerb appeal full of weeds no proper directions to car park needs a face-lift maybe the hotel inspector should vist . plants dying in pots but could be so lovely as on the canal . But not for me not the staffs fault it could be made lovely couldn't eat there as need lovely ambience this place has none sorry
Went there on what has probably been the first warm day of 2024 and summer has finally arrived! The place has a great location alongside the river, loads of seating inside and outside. The place was quite packed with people, loads of students enjoying the warm weather and drinks. When I ordered my food, what was to been a house chicken salad, turned into a burger as they had no salad! The food was OK, but not great by any stretch of the imagination and whilst inside was "clean" the outside needed a serious sweeping & clean up in my opinion The line to get drinks and food orders was at least 30 people long and only 2 people on the tills doing orders and pouring drinks? A little look at this element of their process by the management, would make the whole experience a lot better. Overall, the atmosphere was great and everyone was enjoying themselves.
Decent place overall! Excellent outside area and spacious interior. Good prices, albeit the food is a bit average. The pub quiz is really bad, every round is some awkward gimmick which doesn't work, you can't hear the announcer and they have to come around table to table to repeat questions and there's no music round!! They also really really need to sort out the mens toilets as they are vile and really detracts from the rest of the place. Despite this the music and vibe is always really good, solid selection of drinks and the staff are nice so it is worth a visit overall I'd say!
We loved this pub, took the dog and sat outside for our burger meals! Delicious! Thank you soooo much! Parking - such a big car park for a city centre! Even gave us water for the dog and a biscuit Yep, definitely going there again Food: 5/5
Beautiful rainy day in a giant venue. Great atmosphere and friendly service with gorgeous look at the River Irwell. We went this time for only drinks. I had a powerful Red bull while my friend went for a cider. The tables however were sticky as if not cleaned properly with leftovers of other customer drinks. Don't be discourage by this low review because we will definetly come back to try the food and experience the musical events.
Great music venue upstairs ran by a very competent events manager. Would be nice if they got the card machine fixed so you could continue watching your next favourite live band whilst buying a beer rather than playing tag to find out who's going downstairs next to buy them.Service: 3/5
