Food was a let down, served salmon on a hot plate, fish kept cooking, ended up dry and overcooked. Ordered medium steak arrived very well done. Children had build your own taco, they ran out of sour cream, 5 orders no sour cream. The only saving grace was the member of staff Katie, tried her best to resolve food issues and got on well with everyone, never tried to hide.
Good food, nice selections of drinks reasonably priced. Staff were quick and friendly when serving. Nice spot to watch football and outdoor seating was pleasurable. Handy place to have a decent pub like this for my stay in the city.Food: 5/5
Went on a Monday night reserved seating for 18 of us. The food n staff were excellent made us feel welcome we will definitely be back…. Young lad on the bar was fab too him n his colleagues sang happy birthday to my two brothers …. Well done and thank you Monica n familyFood: 5/5
Matchstick Man is a gem at exchange quay just sit beside the metro station and lakeside. The pub food is amazing and with a good price. They offer different special price for weekday. We love to come at afternoon enjoy the cozy vibe. Plenty free parking space!!!Food: 5/5

I visited here back-to-back nights for good while visiting Salford in September, the food was delicious and prepared really promptly. After I was finished with my meals, I wasn't rushed out of the building either! You also have the freedom to either order from the bar or directly from the app, so very accommodating!Food: 5/5
Really nice pub for some food, plenty screens to watch games at same time! A stones thrown from Old Trafford if that’s your thing. Great pub great food great service especially AJ who gave us good advice of local area and superb service!!! Highly recommend it!!! Parking: Paid parking on site!! Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!!
Very good. Portions were amazing good food. Fed a family of 4 with alcohol for £51 plus food was left over as we were stuffed. The meal deals they have on absolutely amazing and value for money. Quality and service is not skimped on. Thank you!!!Food: 4/5

AJ, our server, was brilliant in the City for moving a family member into University, called in for lunch and excellent service from the start! Made our family member aware of jobs in the pub! Great service at the bar, super helpful for a gluten-free family member! Excellent from the moment we walked in! Thank you for a great service AJ!
